Lungomare Portoferraio - Goelba

It was a very nice apartment. Plenty of room, nice balcony, Kitchen, living room etc

Only reason I booked this was to have a veiw of the harbour, but ended up with a view over looking a car park. So I was quite disappointed about that. No microwave, but strange. Few coffee pods wouldn’t go astray, machine but no pods, not buying a box for a few nights.

Great space, well equipped and lovely views of the port.

Beds were somewhat uncomfortable, especially the bed in the lounge. It would be helpful to have a dish cloth and tea towel supplied. We ended up buying kitchen supplies so we could wash and dry dishes. Only minor!

The location is next to the harbor and by short walking distance to beaches and the old town of Portoferraio.

Very underwhelming stay for experienced travelers. This is not a hotel, this is a Airbnb and a big disappointment to what you pay. The hostess responsible for the flat was a kind but she was contacting us everyday for 5 days before arrival through personal number, felt very unprofessional and unwanted. This should be run through the site for specific requirements. Nothing is included, you have to add extra for sheets and air conditioning which you are asked to pay for through WhatsApp. A quite juicy deposition is asked for and when we took photos (of all the broken things - including fallen down paintings, broken and spotted surfaces of furniture, broken electrical sockets - we were told in a bit salty response that “we were not acting normal” and that they “didn’t even ask for a deposit anyway”. It is not wanted to hear their personal opinions when reassuring yourself from potential scam is normal behavior when this place clearly is capitalizing on the unawareness and abnormality of adding costs to a price already paid for. Photos are representative of the rooms with view. Ours was like a bunker towards the courtyard. We only stayed as minimal time as possible in this depressive flat. However our stay in Portoferraio was luckily enigmatic by the lovely town, the historical sites, beaches and people.

Find yourself an apartment where the people care about their guests. Lot's of hidden costs. No help when the water in the entire apartment turned brown. And still not responding on our complaints. Many better accommodations available on Elba!
