So, no matter where you stay, you'll hear it! Now, on to Speed 8 Inn, perfectly located just 2 minutes from the food market, which offers a wide variety of cuisines at affordable prices and seems to be the main hub for travelers. Upon arrival, we were warmly welcomed, checked in quickly, and shown to our immaculately clean room. The beds were comfortable, and the air conditioning worked brilliantly, ensuring a pleasant stay. There’s plenty of room outside your room with seating areas where you can relax and enjoy a drink with friends. Conveniently, there's an ATM right outside, saving you a trek down towards the beach. The Inn offers a range of services including trips and taxis, and we found them to be the cheapest in Moalboal. Trust me on this! The staff were exceptionally pretty, friendly and helpful, always ready for a chat and a laugh. Breakfast was basic but sufficient, providing a good start if you’re heading out early. My wife and I spent three days here with our son and his fiancée, and Use to big comfy beds at home or 5-star hotels, we found nothing to complain about during our stay at Speed 8 Inn. Lastly, a small favor if you do stay—there's a dog that lives near the ATM, which I have named AToM. He just needs a little bit of food. There’s a pet shop around the corner that sells dry dog food for 26 pesos. I know there are many dogs in the area, but Atom could use a little extra help. Overall, Speed 8 Inn is a fantastic choice for travelers, offering great value and a warm, welcoming experience in Moalboal. Happy travels!

Spend the night at the hotel on a recent trip to Moalboal. Rooms were more than adequate and service was great. You can walk to the beach from here. The included breakfast wasn't much, egg or two and some sausage but thats fine. Overall a good stay and I would stay here again.

Good hotel, especially when you compare it with other hotels in the area. The staff is very friendly and helpful. So don’t be shy to ask questions. The owner was as kind as the staff. The are many sarisari stores close by and enough restaurants with many different kind of cuisines of other countries as Filipino cuisine.

I recently stayed at Speed 8 Inn, and it was a delightful experience. The staff were incredibly kind, making our stay memorable. The cleanliness of the hotel was good, contributing to a comfortable and enjoyable stay. Highly recommend!

We booked this hotel in moalboal, very nice place and close to the street with entertaining. You can hire a scooter at the hotel, so you can visit Oslob by yourself to go whale watching. Normally on a tour is 2500 pesos, but if you go by scooter it's just 500 pesos. It's a long ride but you can see a lot on your way to Oslob! Everybody we walked to the entertaining street (5 minutes) and there are a lot of restaurant with live music. Rooms are very clean, the staff are very nice!

We stayed 3 nights, excellent value for money. Basic rooms are big, bright and exceptionally clean. The staff can’t do enough for you, especially when the man who may be the owner who would cover our scooter seats so it would not get too hot or move them at nights to keep them off the road and safe. 100% recommend staying here - best value for money !

Pros All the staff are all helpful and nice but Mica at reception is a superstar. She is often dealing with numerous people asking all sorts of things at the same time to do with hotel bookings, booking tours, transport or renting scooters etc but seems to be able to handle everything and makes time for everyone in a patient and friendly manner. She even put on my heavy backpack and walked it up to the top floor. The location is excellent - just walk down the main street to all the activity. Right nearby is Hummusta! Middle Eastern restaurant, which I highly recommend you visit to try their excellent mango float dessert. The room is clean and spacious and there is a desk and two chairs - very handy. Free water dispensers conveniently put on every level (albeit not cold water). Not really a pro or con but the included breakfast is very basic, however if you ask for some butter to go with the toast or a glass of cold water they will bring it to you. Cons The biggest con is the noise. If you are a light sleeper I would not recommend staying here. The roosters in the neighbouring properties are the main culprit but there are also howling dog and motorbike/tricycle noises all permeating the room seemingly unabated. I endured it with ear plugs, which are not comfortable for me, and still didn’t block out all the noise. The aircon unit is aimed straight at the bed, maybe not a con for some but I don’t like being blown on while I sleep. The bed is extremely hard, although some people might like that. No shower curtain so it’s easy to soak most of the bathroom floor. Last one is not really the hotel’s fault but I booked a car ride to the Cebu airport through the hotel for 3,000 pesos and it was awful. One of those big cars for a whole family and their luggage even though it was just for me. The vehicle shook and lurched the whole way, I’m not sure how much of that was the car and how much was the driver, and I felt very motion sick. The aircon seemed to only be pumping warm moist air which made me feel worse. The driver had an earpiece so was making numbers phone calls throughout and was often checking his actual phone, sometime while driving fast and overtaking. I was concerned for time but I would have felt much better just doing the buses.

We had a lovely stay here. The rooms were clean & spacious. There was a hot shower, wifi and aircon. Water dispensers on landing. Close to a ‘sari sari’ (small shop selling snacks & drinks) Staff were really friendly. There’s a lady sometimes at reception. If you are planning any trips/tours/activities then ask her as she is organised and gets the best price! Breakfast was included. It was fried egg, toast, hot dog sausage, banana & coffee. I didn’t eat the hot dog sausage as I’ve never liked them but the rest was nice Only issue was that there was loud music playing outside til 1am but we did stay around New Year so maybe that’s why?

We had a lovely stay at the speed 8 inn. We originally booked for 3 nights and stayed 4 night in total. The building is clean and looks very new, very well taken care of, even though they had a tyfoon not long ago. The staff is amazing. Very friendly and accommodating. They can help you with renting a motor bike and transportation to the airport. It’s a bit off the main road but short walking distance to all the bars and restaurants, so you don’t have any trouble with noice coming from the bars. We had an accident with the toilet seat and the they immediately fixed it and handled it with a way we didn’t expect at all. We would definitely come here again! Go to the speed 8 inn, if you want a relaxing time in moalboal.
