Clandestino Hotel Recreo - Adults Only

The staff were very friendly, helpful and professional.

Hotel solo para adultos con unas pocas habitaciones. Está muy cerca del centro pero no es muy ruidoso. Tiene un patio bonito donde desayunar. El desayuno está bien, sencillo. La habitación tiene lo necesario pero es algo pequeña para mí gusto, con poca movilidad. Es una buena opción de rango medio. La habitación tiene máquina de café lo que se agradece, y tienen servicio de valet incluido para traer coche, hay que pedirlo por adelantado ya que alguien debe de venir a recogerlo.

Cama extremadamente dura con una cabecera incomoda. El desayuno que ofrecen es muy escaso y menú muy reducido. El servicio de valet muy irregular. Extremely hard bed with an uncomfortable headboard. The breakfast they offer is very scarce and the menu is very small. The valet service is very irregular.

The staff is amazing. I had doubts about the hotel since the price was low for a hotel of this quality. I can say without a doubt that this is one of the best hotels for the money in San Miguel where prices for similar hotels have risen considerably in the last few years. You get nesspreso coffee, water, sodas, wifi, breakfast and several other goodies (a drink per person per stay in their roof bar). Like I said in the beginning of this review, the best thing in this hotel is the service you get from all the people that work in the hotel. I highly recommend the Clandestino Hotel at Recreo.

Nice, modern hotel and staff. But loud construction noise next door led us to check out early though. The staff on site was helpful and understanding, but we are still waiting to hear from management on a credit they had promised us. Beware the noise next door - it is a serious construction project that will last many months from now.

Great communication, friendly staff, wonderful location. Guillermo, Juanito, Alex were all nice. Loved the rooftop bar and the patio for breakfast.

After a long day at travel, the staff at the Clandestino hotel made sure we had a warm welcome once we arrived. They greeted us with smiles, took our luggage to our room for us and gave us a tour of the property. Every day they would come in and tidy-up our rooms and turn down our beds in the evening. Also, their breakfast in the morning was amazing!! Highly recommend the chilliquilles! We will definitely be back!

My husband and I really enjoyed staying at this hotel. There are only 8 rooms on the property and so this really allows the staff to provide personalized and exceptional service. This hotel was in a great location and only a five minute walk from anywhere we wanted to go in town.

Beautiful property, fantastic service, exceptional breakfasts. Highly recommend. The hotel is conveniently located in the downtown of San Miguel, but on a quiet street with personal residences and a school, so it is just out of the hubbub of the main squares. Lovely courtyard where they serve you a delicious, customizable and multi-course breakfast in the morning (eggs your way or waffles or sopes or chilaquiles etc plus fresh fruit, churros, green juice, lattes). Rooftop bar that is quiet, has perfect city views, and great cocktails. The staff is extremely accommodating. Would absolutely stay again.
