Terrazza Spinola

The location of the apartment is perfect in the historical city center, with the seashore 3 min away by feet, and with plenty of shops and restaurants nearby. The view from the terrace is great. The hosts are the most welcoming and responsive and easy to communicate. Andrea was nice to talk to and helped us with the check-in and accommodating. The apartment has all the listed amenities and was spacious enough for our family of 3. Would definitely recommend it.

Stairs are not a real downside for us but should be minded for people with limited movement abilities.

We loved this property it is has three levels with the top floor having the kitchen and a beautiful terrace with fantastic views to the water and looking over the beautiful cobble streets. Comfortable and clean. It is situated on a small plaza with a cute church and great coffee shop! Would highly recommend this property.

Fantastic apartment perfectly located in old Cefalu. Plenty of space and comfortable terrace with charming views. Everything you could need and very responsive and pleasant host.

Property is excellent. Nothing wrong but you should expect lots of steps.

The location was ideal.

The owners were difficult to get a hold of, until the last minute when they finally told me where to find the key. After I communicated with the owners that I had arrived, they sent me a welcome email (around 1 day after my arrival). It would have been nice to have the welcome email with all the recommendations of places to eat before my arrival. Also when I asked about what coffee I should be, like a recommendation there was no response by the owner. In sum, the owners were not really interested in welcoming me like they perhaps should have. The kitchen did not have all the essentials, the bathroom shower had a hair in it (probably from the previous occupant). The towels looked frayed and were hard on the skin. During my stay, I noticed I had some red spots on my skin (on my back) so I am not sure the sheets/towels were cleaned to my satisfaction. All it all, it is the location that was great, everything else about the property was lackluster at best. If I had to grade my experience, (A being the best and F being the worse), I would say a C/C+ best describes my experience. Next time I come I would pick a different property.

Great location - in the heart of the old town overlooking a little square with a picturesque church and very short walk to main cathedral square. Also easy walk to beach and ten minutes walk from train station. Lovely roof terrace with wonderful view of church and the rock face behind the town. Also note that there were things like oil, salt and washing up liquid that a previous reviewer had wanted, so either the host pays attention or they do just leave the previous visitor's left overs for the next batch and it's pot luck. Cefalù itself is just lovely - our second visit and we'd happily come back again, including returning to this place.

Not the hosts fault but there can be quite a lot of noise in the early hours from nocturnal street cleaning, rubbish collection etc. They seem to go back and forth many times! Also the endless short loop of chirpy pipe music from a nearby shop could drive you crazy if you stayed in all day - someone needs to talk to that shopkeeper!

Incredible location, view, balcony space and lovely decor. We LOVED our stay in this apartment! We would 100% return for another stay. Location was excellent - right in the centre of all the amenities but far enough away from restaurants/bars so you don't have any noise. We would come prepared with more items packed from home next time (see below).

We didn't get an email from the host with information on how to enter the apartment so we chased this all morning (email, booking.com mail, whatsapps) we called them via whatsapp and they picked up and told us about the lockbox. So in the end it was completely fine, but I would have liked prior communication for our peace of mind. Shame about the lack of kitchen facilities. There was no: washing up liquid, sponge for washing up, no dish cloth, cleaning spray, dishwasher tablets, salt/pepper/olive oil, no chopping board, no ice trays, no additional bin liners. There were 2 moka pots full of mould, but 1 usable cafetiere. 1 already broken wine glass when we arrived. Annoying that we (and other future guests) are required to spend this money for 1 week there. Perhaps the cleaners take it all every time? Don't know. No umbrella on the terrace for shade. We ended up using our beach umbrella which we left in the apartment for future guests. Mattress uncomfortable as other reviews have mentioned but overall wouldn't put us off another stay...just makes you appreciate home a little more when you get back

The terrace is large and the view is better than in the pictures. The location is superb! The kitchen is good, and there is a washing machine (but you need to bring your own detergent + clothes line to hang your laundry). We had a good time here, despite some small complaints (see below).

The double bed is hard and uncomfortable. There was no stopper in the kitchen sink, so we wasted more hot water than needed (There is actually a dishwasher, but no detergent, which we did not bother buying for four nights). The only cutting board was small and broken in half.

Terrazza Spinola made our 10 days in Cefalu the best part of our 6 weeks in Sicily! Brilliant location, on a beautiful romantic square with a church that hosted many a wedding, the apartment had a great terrace off the kitchen which you can see the sea and mountains from. You are near all the restaurants and bars in the old town centre which is so beautiful at night to walk around. We were able to cook at the apartment a lot once we found the amazing Deco Gourmet supermarket about a 10 mins walk away.

It’s hard to tell from the photos that the apartment is set over 3 floors! We did appreciate the exercise with all the food we ate, but it’s not for everyone! The kitchen could be better equipped but i suppose most people eat out. We like to cook and so having a few more oven dishes and frying pans and cooking utensils would have been helpful! A kettle also would be nice to have there.
