Mycosy Provost Road

Passable inside although the lounge is sparse. Great shower and good kitchen. That’s it.

The area is a complete dive. If I had known, I wouldn’t have booked it. The secure entry has wires hanging out where it’s been ripped to pieces and as a lone female traveller, I didn’t feel particularly safe. If I hadn’t paid up front, I wouldn’t have walked. The bed was shockingly hard and the pillows have seen better days. I now have a really sore back. I’ve just been to My Cosy in Paisley and it was leaps and bounds above this place. Be aware if you are lone, female. This is not a ‘home from home,’ well certainly not my home - but I don’t like in a ghetto. I have booked a much nicer apartment in a better area for my next stay. I wouldn’t stay again.

The apartment is very cosy and nice and the hosts really helpful. Very clean and welcoming with everything prepared and ready.

It is on the ground floor and you need to have the blinds constantly on in the living room so your are not on display to the street. It can be pretty dark in the room because of that (but kitchen and bedroom windows are to the garden which is nice). The location is alright, although not really close to the city centre.

NO WIFI AND NO TV TO BE HONEST THE OWENER TOLD ME THEY HAD THE WIFI CHANGED THE DAY BEFORE THAT THEY HAD CHANGED THE WIFI PROVIDER AND CONTACT HIM. I HAD MY OWN PHONE WITH UNLIMITED WIFI SO NOT A PROBLEM AND I WAS VISITING FRIENDS SO I ONLY SLEPT THERE. THE PLACE WAS VERY DATED THE BEDSIDE LAMS FLICKERED OF AND ON SO I JUST SWITCHED THEM OF (ALOOSE WIRE I THINK) THE LIGHTING IN THE LIVING ROOM AN BEDROOM WAS FAR TOO LOW PROBABLY SO YOU DID SEE THE OLD DECOR THE SHOWER HEAD WOULD NOT STAY AT THE POSITION I WANTED ON THE RAIL AND JUST KEPT FALLING DOWN THE HOT WATER BOILER IS VERY NOISY. THIS SOUNDS A LOT BOT IT DIDNT STOP ME FROM ENJOYING MY WEEK END THE WHOLE PLACE JUST NEEDS SOME UPDATINGK

Nice size flat with a good location for where I needed to be. Easy access also.

The heating was a huge issue. On entering, the boiler was switched off, we managed to switch it on and as per instructions kept heating below 22 degrees but the hive didn't seem to be talking to the boiler and even when we switched it off it was blaring heat all night to the point the only way we could manage it was to turn the boiler off again. The bedroom was nice, but the mattress is way overdue a change. I felt every spring and had two unsettled nights because of it. The kitchen - there was only one medium pan, which made my first night meal difficult to cook, but we did manage. There was a tray with biscuits and milk, coffee, sugar, etc, which was a nice touch until I realised that the milk and biscuits were all out of date!

The place itself did not feel like something I had booked a stay in but rather had been invited. Being quite a distance away from home for a meeting does bring up a lot of what ifs, it's normal. MyCosy is the perfect home for any duration.
