Hunguest Hotel Sun Resort

The location of this hotel was excellent. Close to beach and restaurants - including a nice walk up to the Old Town. Hotel was very run down in places. Felt like an 80’s resort that had been left unloved. Rooms basic nothing flash - less than was expected for the money. Our room had significant mould in bathroom - asked for it to be rectified which it was including the installation of a new shower head. Hotel wifi did not work unless you were in reception area. Very poor everywhere else. Staff very friendly and did what they could to help. Pool was excellent - large and spacious. No additional costs for sun lounges at beach or pool but you had to be early - people reserving and not being present was an issue. Breakfast buffet was survival of the fittest. Scrambling for food made it not a very nice atmosphere. Getting there early at opening rectifies this - beat the crowd. We did enjoy our stay but was not what we had expected by the website and advertising.

Catastrophical rooms. With horrible outdated dirty furniture. We asked for a different room at the reception but they have been tellong us for 3 days now that they will think of something they will do something but they do t do anything. Everything is dirty. The staff is very unfriendly, we honestly offered to pay more just to change rooms but they could not get it done. And the rooms are not maintained at all.. horrible experience. The beaches around the hotel are non existent. The closest beach is from a concrete platform. And the other available places for swimming are very very small, brutally crowded. Herceg nowi really did not capture us. I highly remmoned that you go to other places on the adriatic beach, where there is nature. More space and peace. But if you want to risk it go ahead. We got the room all the way at the top of the hotel with 100+ stairs to climb every time we want to go to the beach and dirty sheets and shower. Combined with horrible customer service.

We stayed here for just one night, which was enough for us. At £80 for the night, we didn’t have high expectations, and overall, it met them. The hotel has a retro feel – it reminded us of an 80s-style Benidorm retirement home. It’s clean but definitely in need of a modern refresh. On the positive side, we had a warm and friendly welcome from the reception team, who were helpful and knowledgeable. The location is great, conveniently positioned between the old town and the new town, and the pool area was pleasant. Our room was dated but functional. The shower worked well, although the cubicle was quite small, and there was very little soundproofing. Breakfast, unfortunately, was a letdown. The orange juice was overly sweet, the toaster was slow to the point of comedy, and there were no pastries on offer. The hot food didn’t appeal, and we were totally ignored by the breakfast staff during our visit. The WiFi was very unreliable, and we were also surprised to be charged for parking despite there being plenty of empty spaces. In the end, you do get what you pay for. While not somewhere we’d return to, it gave us a few laughs and served its purpose for a short trip

Estancia muy buena el día de salida nos dejaron estar en el parking y usar las instalacion s sin problemas hasta marchar...sin prisa. La habitación necesita algo de actualización, pero la situación inmejorable para playa y relax. Personal muy amable

Lovely hotel. Close enough to walk to the old town, it is on the lovely promenade with lots of restaurants and they also have loungers on the beach. The pool was lovely and when I went was pretty quiet. As a vegetarian I found breakfast limiting. I also felt the cleaners were making my bed but in the 5 days I stayed, the bedsheets were not replaced and they did not clean the bathroom each day.

Great place. Centrally located. Nice pool and beautiful view. AC didn’t work very well but plenty of windows. Staff was fantastic

Hotellin sijainti oli erinomainen, kun merenranta ja kävelykatu ihan vieressä. Huonevalintamme (huoneisto merinäköalalla) oli erittäin hyvä, siinä oli mukavasti tilaa kahdelle ja se oli siisti. Parvekkeelta näkymä merelle oli upea!

Var nok et kjempe bra hotell for 20 år siden, ikke oppdatert siden. Veldig bra bassengområde og tilgang til havet med egne senger for gjestene. Håndkleservicen med lappesystem fungerte ikke og jeg ga opp hele det prosjektet. Dårlig frokost. Også blod på lakenet da vi sjekket inn - dette ble skiftet på forespørsel.
