North Star Glamping

We had a lovely time! The Glamping was perfect for my family of 4. Maggie was a great host who met us as we arrived. If ever on vacation in the area again, we will definitely be staying here again!

Shower could be better but it might be the water pressure the bathroom is lovely

Everything was fantastic. The pod is fully equipped with everything you need. The most makes delicious shortbread biscuits which you get to try. A great place to stay on the NC500. Electric charging station close by aswell as a continence store.

The site has two luxury pods well situated just off the NC500 in Lybster. Usefully, they offer one night stays which is perfect if you’re doing the route. We had a very comfortable one night stay in the Whaligoe pod. It is really well designed, with a luxury shower room and loo, and a very useable kitchen space, with basic kitchen implements: I was able to prepare an omelette. The double bed was spacious, and the clever use of mirrors and wall spaces made the pod seem quite big. It was a couple of miles yomp to Lybster Harbour which we did in the evening. We were blessed with fantastic weather and saw a magnificent sunset, and the owner says she has seen the northern lights on occasion. The owner herself was lovely and welcoming, and made sure we had everything we needed. We would thoroughly recommend these pods if you’re doing the NC500. It wasn’t the cheapest but it was one of the best we’ve come across so far (and we’ve done a few).

No wi-fi, but this wasn’t an issue because there was 4G and we were able to buy more data.

Amazing stay, super comfortable, clean and stylish. Slept for 10 hours interrupted, which is unusual for me. Great communication and host. Thanks so much, will stay again. Bliss.

Not very many eating places with in the small village so an oven would have been helpful
