Each room has a glass panel above the door which lets light in from the corridor throughout the night! This is incredibly stupid as it keeps waking people up. Please cover with dark plastic or board! The AC units are what they are - Chinese-manufactured, so they don't work all that well.
GBSome of the staff were very helpful. The place is clean. The breakfast is decent.
Two things that potential guests should be aware of. Firstly, the single rooms are not good value. For £35 you get a small, noisey, dark room at the back of the hotel. Secondly, the hotel does not have fans or mosquito nets in any of the rooms despite advertising on booking.com that they do. Without fans or mosquito nets you will get bitten by mosquitos and this is a malaria endemic area.

ZAI know we are in Africa and I know I cannot expect European standards. But I think the staff are very lethargic. When I enter the reception, there are four staff members, each with their own mobile phone. no one looks up to look at me. The person I am addressing is clearly irritated at being disturbed. She reluctantly puts the phone down. all the while we talk she picks her nose. Sorry, but it can be done better. Not one of the staff would be able to get a job in a European hotel. The internet is very fluctuating, despite what they had promised me the opposite.

The hotel is situated near a club and it kept us awake for 2 nights. Its not directly in their control to change this but it made our stay much more unconfortable. Diner was also great considering price/quality and it took over 1.5 hours to serve altough we were the only guests at that time. Its an ok hotel to sleep if you are on your way to Gombe national park for example, however the price is too high for the quality we received.

Unfortunately there's a bar nextby with very loud music until the early morning hours, showing no respect to the neighborhood. Its almost impossible to sleep without noise-canceling inears.
