SpringHill Suites Island Park Yellowstone

We booked SpringHill Suites by Marriott Island Park Yellowstone for October 8, 2025 - well in advance, drawn by its beautiful riverside location on Henry’s Fork. Despite multiple Marriott confirmation emails — including one the day before check-in — and being billed the full amount that morning, we arrived to find no room available. The front desk told us our reservation had been moved to another property down the street due to “overbooking.” An email about this was supposedly sent earlier that day, but it went to a misspelled address, so we never received it. Even worse, the hotel appeared nearly empty — the lobby and parking lot were quiet, so the explanation made little sense. We were refunded and told the alternate hotel would be “free,” but it was far inferior in every way — not the riverside suite we booked. Frustrated and disappointed, we ended up driving four hours home instead. We contacted Marriott about the situation and received only a token amount of reward points — hardly meaningful after such a failed experience. Travelers should be aware that confirmed reservations here may not be honored, and communication from the property can be unreliable.

Great room overlooking the river. Very friendly and accommodating staff. Loved the Hot Chocolate bar! The beautiful fall decor added warm fall vibes!!

Great hotel and nice looking hotel with lovely view. Complimentary breakfast is a plus too. Loved the service from the staff!!

Absolutely gorgeous place to stay and fairly close to the Park. Outside terrace was nice to sit with a drink and the view of the river is wonderful. Rooms are clean, beds are comfortable. Really enjoyed our stay here!

Very nice hotel. Rooms are spacious and clean. More seating is needed in the large rooms, it's either lie or sit on your bed or you are screwed for watching TV or just hanging in your room. Rooms have plenty of room to add some more chairs. Breakfast was pretty bad, cold food and poor options to choose from. After a few bites of food, I had to toss my food out, pretty bad.

My husband and I stayed here because it was a cute hotel not too far from Yellowstone National Park. Overall it was nice and the staff were super friendly and helpful. My only gripe is that our bathroom had a really gross orange bacteria growing all over the shower.

First time to Yellowstone / stayed 3rd night at SpringHill Suites in Island Park Idaho- staff was very friendly- clean rooms - great dinner at the hotel.

Great staff at check in. The bar was a little behind because other restaurant has started there Winter hours. He called in reinforcements and it got better. Food was outstanding. If you stay here eat here as well. All staff was very friendly.
