Convenient situation, room was spacious and clean.

Nobody available to help explain how check out works- you need to leave your bags outside the hotel (!) hoping the ferry pick up service will pick them up. The place is clean but a bit run down and not well isolated from noise outside. There are not many alternatives in Helgoland so I m not sure if others would have been better.

Despite the description the sea view was limited Cleaning equipment left on landing outside our apartment Operation of cooker hob incomprehensible and no instructions Shabby window in bathroom The proprietor knew we were 7 people but only provided bed linen for 6 and it took several messages before we had a response late on the evening of our stay and after the children had gone to bed with a makeshift arrangement. We paid for the two apartments for one night over €500 which even by good hotel prices is very expensive: at that price EVERYTHING including service should be excellent. it was not! Would not recommend this to family or friends. Far too complacent and overpriced for what was provided,

It’s very central. A bakery is right on the next corner and a supermarket is a minute’s walk away. You can see the sea from the living room window, which I like very much.

Not too much, they chose a tricky key system but I guess someone smarter would have no problems at all.

The location is excellent and the facilities are in good condition generally.

The kettle for boiling water is quite filthy on the inside and the place still feels rather cold with the heating on highest setting. Worst of all, customer service from the host is nonexistent via Booking. We sent some enquiries and reminders before and during the trip to the host via Booking, both in German and English, but hardly ever got a response, though the message were “seen” by the host. Also, horrendous cleaning fees for even just a one-night stay & inflexible booking is very unpleasant.
