Jeiroes Do Mar

The facility is situated at the edge of an old vineyard next to the breakwater and looks across the water at Faial. At the edge of the property is a shoreline walking trail that allows you to walk to town in 5-10 minutes. The cottages are well laid out with the living area looking out onto the vineyards and ocean.

The kitchen was not well stocked, there were only 2 of each type of glass and very little in the way of oven pans. If you travel with another couple they would have to bring their own glasses to enjoy a glass of Pico wine on the patio, a shame since so much of Pico is wine-centric. The bed was large, with good linens but way too hard. I like a firm bed but this went beyond firm to hard with absolutely no give to them. Finally, when we opened the door to the cottage we were hit with an overwhelming odor or mold and dirt. It disappeared after we opened the windows so perhaps a simple fix for the owners to keep the heat pumps running when the cottage is not in use. There were also no napkins, paper or linen, which is not something you typically expect to buy for shorter stays.

Large apartments, with everything one needs - from balcony chairs to fully equipped kitchen. Awesome sea view (to Faial and the "standing island". Great cleaning services. Nearby free parking. Very quiet. Perfect location, very close to the center and port of Madalena. 2 nearby supermarkets. We've been traveling a lot, and this apartment is one of the best we've had.

I wish we could stay here longer...

El alojamiento está muy bien ubicado y una zona muy tranquila, tienes vistas al mar y a la isla de horta y la verdad que se está muy tranquilo porque no hay ruido y solo se escucha el mar. Sitio para desconectar está genial.

El alojamiento estaba muy bien pero tenía un olor a humedad bastante desagradable creo que es algo importante a tener en cuenta ya que no se pagan precios económicos para que esas cosas no estén cuidadas
