The In is absolutely beautiful , the decor is beautiful , very comfortable and great location. The staff are so friendly and extremely knowledgeable about Madison and what the town offers.

We travel very often and have stayed in 100’s of hotels, resorts, etc. The James Madison Inn fits the remarkable town of Madison perfectly. The location near wonderful historic homes is ideal. Very good restaurants in 3 directions. The rooms are fantastic. Most rooms at different places are “kind of” clean. The James Madison Inn is the standard for clean. It felt like the room was made just for our visit. I recall laying on the comfortable bed, looking around, thinking this is EXACTLY how we should remodel our bedroom at home. Perfect.

"Love the James Madison Inn but our most recent stay was disappointing"

Like the room size and cleanliness

No workout facility. We have stayed with you a couple of times before and I always enjoyed the in-house workout room in the basement. I was sorely disappointed that it no longer exists! The website showed that you still have a workout room. When I travel, exercise is one of the most important amenities I look for in a hotel. Although I was provided a voucher to use a local gym facility, it closed on Saturday at noon and was closed all day Sunday so I was unable to take advantage of it. Also, we would not stay on the first floor again. It was noisy at night with cars speeding by and revving their engines. The persons upstairs above us were noisily walking around and it literally sounded like pounding on the ceiling. We are not complainers, but it was disturbing at night. The jets in the bathtub were not working and there was a sign posted that they were inoperable.
