The Bold Type Hotel

Excellent reception by the very kind and friendly staff, great food, nice pool, well situated near the center.

A lovingly restored building centrally located. Parking in front (ask the front desk attendant for help). Stairs up to the front entrance - so if you have heavy luggage - be aware. Help may or may not be available. Our room was very nice, but not exactly as advertised. The website said it had a balcony and views of the city, however it had neither. I even asked if we were in the right room - they said we were. Our room was right by the front door, which was very noisy. I asked if we could be moved, but they said it wasn’t possible. The shower is very nice but there was no counter space in the bathroom to put any toiletries. There is a nice coffee machine, but only two capsules (and one decaf and no milk). What if both people want caffeinated coffee or some milk? The pool area is beautiful and also where there are tables if you want to order food (I wouldn’t call it a restaurant per se). We were the only ones having dinner on site. Breakfast was a la carte and very good. Overall, despite the small issues, it was a nice stay for the price we paid.

Great location. Close to the famous st. Nicholas steps. Breakfast was amazing. Wonderful options. Service was top notch. The hotel was a great experience. And very enjoyable. Everyone was very kind and more than helpful.

Staff were exceptionally polite and accommodating. The hotel was beautifully designed and styled.

Area it was located looked run down, however there was nothing to fault about the property.
