USUSFor us, it was petty near as perfect a place to stay as possible. That our room (2) faced onto the street,it was too noisy to leave the door open at night, but there's a mini split to cool the nights. Still I loved our room with its balcony. Couldn't have been happier A rooftop terrace adds to the comfort of the room. Breakfasts were delicious, and plenty to fill you with morning energy. The location is central to downtown Ajijic, and a block and a half to the lake and Malecon. I highly recommend La Casa de Sol to anyone visiting Ajijic.

USMonday through Saturday, the service is excellent. Breakfast is good woth nice choices. Facilities are clean and welcoming. Rooms are nice sized. In the afternoon there are cookies amd agua fresca. There are game nights and other activities. Staff is helpful. Pet friendly
Sunday morning coffee was half an hour late, and we were told 30 minutes before our expected breakfast time that Sunday breakfast starts 90 minutes later. This was not good, and several guests, including us, were inconvenienced. This was after everyone was woken up early by fireworks and church bells starting at 5 am. We went out to another restaurant, and other guests just sat around waiting. Sunday afternoon, staff disappeared, and the usual cookies and agua fresca didn't arrive, so it felt less like a comfortable boutique hotel and a bit more like an empty place.
MXExcelente ubicación. Te ofrecen agua, café y algunos refrigerios ligeros en las áreas comunes. Tienen área de lavado, así como una cocineta con refrigerador que está a la disposición de los huéspedes.
El área de lavado del hotel estaba justo al lado de mi habitación, por lo que me despertó escuchar las lavadoras el domingo a las 7am aproximadamente. No tiene estacionamiento para todos los huéspedes. La alberca tiene calentadores solares, por lo que la temperatura al iniciar el día aún es fría.
MXUSThe property was so lovely, well appointed, cozy with a mix of modern and traditional Mexican touches. Wonderful included breakfast and snacks provided throughout the day. The staff was wonderful too, especially Efram. We would highly recommend this hotel in the heart of Ajijic, walking distance to everything.
