Boutique Hotel Casa Camellia

It’s a gorgeous place, packed with charming details and very thoughtfully set up. Many of the rooms seem to be like small apartments, mine even had a private courtyard! It’s covered in lovely vibrant tiles, fairy lights and plants. And there is a resident cat! The room was cleaned daily and the staff were very nice. It’s in a quiet street only 15 minutes walk from the bus station in one direction and the centre of town in the other. There was plenty of hot water and all the little quirks of the place were carefully explained on checkin. There is a shared kitchen and lots of places to sit and chill out. I’m sad I didn’t stay longer.

The staff was very friendly and accommodating, the breakfast was like home made and very good!! the location is a little dark at night to walk back to from main plaza but still close enough to walk to and from.

Rooms are a bit small

Stunning decoration and ambiance. Lots of plants, seating areas, comfort and character. Uriel spoke excellent English and was very helpful , as were all the staff. Breakfast was excellent as was the Art Cafe. The bed was extremely comfortable.

Some people might find the steep cobbled walk in to town a bit hard but it wasn’t a problem for us.

very good location, not noisy part of the city, it’s a pleasant walk around 10 min to the center. The vibe of the place is incredible! It’s a small hotel, but you see that everything is made with care and attention. Very authentic interior, but at the same time all works great (good hot water pressure in the shower, AC, tv). Host is incredibly friendly and helpful, gave us lots of nice tips about the city! He was always reachable in WhatsApp ready to help with a new advice, we managed to easily extend our stay one more night, since fully fall in love with the city and the hotel! The breakfast is something from another world… omg! it’s something that was definitely making the whole day start perfectly! Individual approach, they can combine and adjust breakfast menu for you and its crazy Mexican flavors! Absolutely loved it! will definitely come back for authentic experience(:

none!! p.s. Personally i love cats, and there is one living in the hotel, can join you in the terrace when relaxing or by your breakfast. Very kind and nice one! Just good to keep in mind if you have allergies 😉

Everything about our stay was wonderful. The Casa is beautiful, each of the rooms are unique, the breakfast delicious served at the restaurant in the Casa which has seating inside the courtyard surrounded by numerous plants and artworks from local artists. Our room was comfortable and we loved the artwork and furniture- we felt at we were staying at a friend’s casa. The most stand out feature was the staff, especially Uriel who was our host. He welcomed us, and went above and beyond helping us immensely with some extra requests. He also took the time to give us a tour of when we arrived and then of all the rooms, each unique. We met the owner who offered us a beer and asked what we thought and if anything we could improve, which was nothing. We highly recommend and look for to a chance to visit again.

Casa Camellia in San Miguel Allende is a wonderful boutique hotel experience. Our room had a king size bed that was super comfortable. The host Mr Uriel was exceptional and took care of all details from the moment we booked. Breakfast is delicious and is included. We loved staying at Casa Camellia and we’ll surely be back! Value for money is really very good. A lovely stay overall.
