I did not like the location. It was a bit secluded for me but if that is what I want, then the location is perfect.

The Hideaway is peaceful and the villas are nicely built and comfortable with Netflix and air conditioning. The pool and surrounds were absolutely lovely and peaceful. The cafe Wild Thyme next door does excellent food at a good price. Check in was easy. Great for those who want a short relaxing stay outside the hustle and bustle of the city of Chiang Mai.

We received a message from the owner that they would be away during our stay and we needed to pay for our room at the cafe next door at a set time, which was a bit annoying to organise. We sent a message to the owner asking them if they knew of any local laundry facilities and scooter rental hire, but we never received a reply. There was a housekeeper there who only seemed to speak Thai, so communication was difficult as we seemed to be the only people staying there. We weren't really provided with any information about the local area, which is about a 25 minutes drive outside of Chiang Mai in a rural area. Luckily we managed to sort out scooter hire ourselves to get around, otherwise you need a hire car or book a Grab, as it's not very close to anything. Our villa had a kitchen with a microwave, and some cutlery and crockery, but we weren't provided with anything to clean dishes with, and the rooms were not serviced daily. The little details make a big difference!

Very quiet and the surrounding nature was beautiful! The villa was comfortable and a good size.

There was no breakfast, the nearby cafe doesn’t open until about 9ish and is closed on Wednesdays. It is easy to order food via grab though.

everything!!! its exactly what I was looking for, a cosy place tucked in the beautiful mountains. very private and the villas are just amazing!! as a solo traveler I couldn’t have felt any more at ease. the owner made my stay so welcoming exactly what you want as a solo woman travelling

The Hideaway is perfect for a relaxing weekend. The villas are beautiful and the pool overlooks the mountains. The outdoor bathtub is also a huge bonus. Peter and his staff are very welcome. I highly recommend staying here.
