Sea View

Fantastic location and views out to sea. Very comfortable

The view is utterly stunning, worth our visit for that alone! Walking distance to the seafront and shops. Comfortable beds and furniture.

Slightly quirky shower but we found comfortable temperature settings after a day or two!

The whole stay was marred not by the owners of property but for some reason a key opens more than one door and having booked a 8 the priory and it called sea view we got keys with number 5d on it. When we got there we found number 5 and it opened and locked for a couple of days . Then key would not let us out and when phoned for help we were told we were in wrong flat should have been number 8 . So it seems all keys for number 8 work in number 5 so shows a complete lack of security and the joke was they asked us for compensation. In my view we should be given compensation as even when we got to 8 anyone with key to 5 could have broken in to our flat

No staff on site as it is self catering, which was no problem to us so we could please ourselves what time to come and go at meal times.Great place to chill and relax but would recommend other visitors to go prepared with binoculars as there is plenty to see with the cruise lines passing plus the wildlife in the garden red squirrels,rabbits,birds etc. Good food at the Village Inn at reasonable prices for a evening meal.

Coming home

Good downhill to shanklin but unless your fairly fit walking back will be a struggle without a rest. The views are lovely. The rest of the apartment disappointing.

This apartment needs a deep clean. Smells of ciggarettes as you walk in. Dust on all surfaces the appearance needs updating. Furniture old and uncomfortable as are the beds. Mould on tiles in bathroom and shower screen,toilet stained,toilet holder behind you on the wall put it on the back of door easy fix. Fridge has a funny smell inside. The balcony is useless if you want privacy as it’s on the side of apartment and is literally next to all others inches away. The windows need to be cleaned properly they are dirty inside and out and mouldy no excuse for this. Unless all rectified we wouldn’t stay again. The photos must be years old as bathroom looks new but don’t be fooled it isn’t as isn’t the whole apartment very disappointed worst accommodation we have stayed in in all the years going to Isle of Wight.
