Lus Mor

Gezellig hostel met gemeenschappelijke zitruimte met zicht op de tuin. In de tuin lopen 2 ponies. Ontbijt is inbegrepen, maar Irish breakfast is bijbetalen. Koffie en thee zijn altijd beschikbaar. Er is een taxi dienst naar Roundwood om 's avonds iets te gaan eten. In het hostel kunnen er overdag drank en snacks gekocht worden (incl. alcohol).

Er kon niet met kaart betaald worden voor de snacks.

Es war sehr nett bei den Volunteers und Ponies und es ist schade, dass das Lus Mor demnächst schließt. Das Konzept ist sehr liebevoll und sehr auf die Gäste ausgerichtet und der Standort für Wicklow-Way-Wanderer ideal gelegen.

Nichts woran man viel ändern kann. Nach Roundwood kommt man per Shuttle und Radwege oder Gehsteige an Landstraßen gibt es in der Gegend kaum, also läuft man notgedrungen auf der Straße, wenn man den Wicklow-Way verlässt.

Really therapeutic experience as an American expat living in Ireland for many years (2008) True Irish hospitality with a great mix of French, German and other cultured guests.I felt the warmth and conversation with the welcoming staff & others. Also, Roundwood is a village that punches way above its weight in food. The original owners of Avoca have a pub and coffee house with wonderful food and local produce. Pizza night on Wednesday and an extremely friendly staff. The pub is noticeably frequented by the dedicated locals. Fans of beer will love the Wicklow Wolf Brewery on tap. I’m in the food industry here in Ireland and was blown away. I was also really surprised at the level of cleanliness in Lus Mor house, with the backpacking community known for unavoidable muck(mud) on our boots. I left my second car key on the bed unknowingly and the owner had it returned to me straight away when I returned the next evening while I was parking whilst unashamedly admitting he’s jump starting his Land Rover van for guests at the moment 😎 Classic mix of Irish hospitality and humbleness. 👌🏽👌🏽👌🏽👌🏽 Not to mention the Shetland ponies…absolute beauties. Sincere thanks to Lus Mor for their hospitality. Highly recommended!!!

Everyone very friend, welcoming, clean, warm and location location location. Wow, beautiful part of the world. If your there, get up early, drive up the mountain, views are spectacular

Wij deden de Wicklow Way en Lus Mor was één van onze overnachtingen. Via een shortcut geraak je snel (ongeveer 1,5 km) op de route. We hadden hier een aangenaam verblijf! We verbleven in de ruime familiekamer met eigen badkamer. We hadden een prachtig uitzicht vanuit onze kamer en genoten dan ook van de mooie zonsopgang 's morgens. Het ontbijt was heel goed en het personeel was vriendelijk. Echt een aanrader!

Ze deden hun uiterste best om een gezond en uitgebreid lunchpakket mee te geven, maar jammergenoeg was er veel olie in waardoor onze bagage tegen etenstijd helemaal ondergelopen was.

La stanza è molto grande, la colazione è ottima, la posizione molto buona. Anche il bagno in camera davvero bello e pulito. La vista dalla stanza molto bella abbiamo visto i daini!!!!. La signorina alla reception davvero molto gentile

Il materasso del letto matrimoniale assolutamente da cambiare. La strada sterrata per raggiungere la stanza.Per il resto tutto ok

The whole place is gorgeous, clean and comfy. The bathrooms and dorm rooms feel like being at home instead of a hostel. You can tell that the staff put their heart into it and it makes all the difference!!

The only thing I wasn't aware of is that you can't use the kitchen there, so don't plan on cooking. However, they have cutlery/plates/bowls, a microwave and kettle at disposable and the staff are very helpful.
