Nothing except being close to the beach.

The pictures are misleading. I regret staying at this place for three days and it ruined my vacation. The garden or jungle view was a series of lodges tucked away at the back corner of the lot. I had to walk through a pebble path. The breakfast terrible and so was the coffee! I never ate while I was there and went out often. The rooms were filthy and just awkward, there is a weird echoing sound because of the shape of the room. I mean I could go on but honestly save your money and pay more and go elsewhere. I mean, besides the echo and filth, there were geckos getting into the room because the door doesn’t seal properly. And the shower had not curtain…wtf! I wish I took photos but I was in so much shock. I even asked the manager and he refused to let me leave in the first 5 minutes of seeing the room. Shame on Booking.com for even allowing this. I am done with Booking as well! This is a repeated behaviour of hotels and they don’t hold them to account.

A hotel’s service is only as good as its willingness to take responsibility when something goes wrong - especially when the situation arises from a service they helped arrange. During my stay, reception actively facilitated a horseback riding tour at the beach. The receptionist personally walked me to the provider, stayed during the arrangements, and presented it as a trusted option. I was told to pay $75 in cash, which required walking to an ATM. When I arrived for the ride, the horses were visibly underweight, dirty, and poorly equipped. Their condition was deeply concerning. I stopped the ride after only a few minutes because I did not feel comfortable participating in what, in my view, amounted to animal neglect. Although the receptionist initially acknowledged that the horses looked “descuidados,” the hotel did not take responsibility when the provider refused to refund me. At checkout the next morning, the incident was completely ignored. Costa Rica promotes strong standards of animal welfare, yet this hotel chose to facilitate and endorse a service involving horses in visibly poor condition. By arranging and directing guests to this provider, the hotel is effectively supporting an activity that overlooks basic animal welfare. I do not recommend booking tours through this hotel. When a hotel connects guests to a service provider, there should be accountability if something goes wrong. I hope the management reflects on the services it promotes so future guests are not placed in a similar situation.

The location and proximity to the beach.

The rooms are a bit odd. The kitchen has a strong smell. Check-out times said until 12pm and we were asked to leave at 11, need to fix that :)

Me gustó la ubicación y limpieza del lugar, el concepto es muy original. El desayuno estaba bien respecto al precio del lugar. Full acceso al cambio de toallas. El personal de la cocina bastante amable y servicial.

No me gustó el servicio al cliente para resolver problemas. Les indiqué en múltiples ocasiones que no me funcionaba el wifi y solo me respondían que estaba funcionando perfecto, además no me llegaba nada de señal a internet en mi teléfono, quedando desconectada cuando me encontraba en la habitación. Por otro lado, el TV funcionaba con plataformas de streaming, que claramente no podía ver porque no había internet, por lo tanto tampoco tenía entretenimiento. Además, hay que considerar que por las puertas de vidrio ingresa demasiada luz, por lo que se dificulta mucho seguir durmiendo después de cierta hora. Finalmente, el sonido de afuera también ingresa bastante a los igloos, lo cual igualmente afecta el descanso.
