Fantastic

The family which run this business is so nice and gentle. The accomentation was a little bit hidden but still at a really good place if you want to stay there for one night after or before safari. The room was really big and comfy with an AC. You can reach restaurants there by foot, or you can eat there as well. The breakfast was so nice - thank you for the nice stay

Peaceful, large, immaculately clean room, with great aircon and fan, and friendly staff (although minimal English). We had a big Sri Lankan breakfast (but no milk for tea).

Messages we sent were not read/understood about our arrival time change so we got a rude 'why are you late' email and then questioned again on arrival. Although near the Elephant orphanage there was nothing else nearby. We got dropped by our driver at 3pm and nothing to do then but read and rest in our room. We tried a walk but it is very much a locals town so as 2 white ladies we felt uncomfortable plus there was nothing really to see. Staff then helped us get a tuk tuk to Wild Asia cafe (we found on Google) where we were the only customers but food was good and staff friendly. Beware there are steep steps up to the rooms with a wobbly wooden hand rail, and a leaky aircon unit means the midway steps are wet. But the owners helped carry our bags.

De sødeste mennesker. De stod op om morgenen og sørgede for at vi fik morgenmad med på vores safari. Vi havde haft problemer med andre steder i Udawalawe som ikke ville lade os bo der medmindre vi købte safari gennem dem og det var slet ikke noget problem her. De var så søde og rare. Kan varmt anbefales!

Everything was as good or better than expected. The host family was exceptionally nice. Food was plentiful and excellent. The room was recently built and everything inside is new (couch, ceramics, furniture,... We've had plenty of good hotel experiences in Sri Lanka (and one bad one) and Baby Elephant Green House has been the best! We would go back anytime!

The ceiling fan was slightly noisy, so we used the very quiet AC instead.

Ein Paradies! Wunderschöne Unterkunft mit Blick ins Grüne. Ruhig gelegen, sehr gepflegt. Gemütliche und saubere Zimmer, alles sehr geschmackvoll eingerichtet. Die Familie ist so herzlich und hilfsbereit, das macht richtig Freude. Es gab ein hervorragendes Frühstück! Absolut empfehlenswert.

The host family is super friendly and welcoming ! When we arrived they even offered us free juice water and everything. They told us we can eat curry at their house in the evening and it was delicious. The room + bathroom is beautiful and definitely meets western standards. We couldn't ask for more ❤️ The room is modern, has ac amd power outlets that work for European electronics. We went for Safari the next day and when we came back they even gave us breakfast. All in all it was fantastic and we definitely recommend sleeping here !

Les propriétaires sont extrêmement gentils et nous ont arrangé pour faire un safari. Nous avons pu manger chez eux c’était excellent. Je recommande!
