Avani Lodge Private Nature Reserve

I liked the seclusion and privacy the accommodation offered. Accommodation was old and rustic. I also enjoyed the closeness to nature and the peace and quiet. The host, Ewald, was also very friendly and accommodating when we had issues.

The flies.....it was horrible and excessive when we arrived. However, the host made attempts to fumigate and put up fly traps which made it a bit better eventually. Also, there was flooding and the road across the Berg River was closed. Host did not inform us. Had to use another route....so it took another hour to get to the accoommodation.

I liked the amazing views and the tranquility. The cottage itself was amazing. And the staff exceptional

We loved everything about Avani

The door was open so we gained easy access. The property is quaint with everything you need. Breath taking views. The place has the cutest cats and best guide dogs on a hike.

Room gas a closed smell, once opened for a while it was ok.
