Redhouse

The accomodations were bright, well-appointed and cheery. Redhouse is an easy 10 minute walk to city centre and perhaps an additional 10 minute walk to the Cathedral ~ an exceptional work of architectural wonder. It was a pleasure to return to our cozy home-away-from-home !

Everything was absolutely perfect ~ in every way !

The room was booked under a stressful situation - broken-down on A303 and a 9hr wait for recovery! The owner, Ray, was very understanding as we kept moving our expected arrival time. He greeted us at 10pm with a warm welcome. I was expecting more of a hotel than a room (but probably my fault for not looking at all the info). That said the room was spotless, comfortable and well equipped, including fresh milk for coffee and a pub right opposite!

Everything you need for a nice stay is there! The room is clean, warm, has a nice bed, and even dressing gowns were provided! Also loved that there was a kettle and one could make some tea or coffee.

I was woken up by people making lots of noise outside the pub across the road I was lucky enough to have a parking permit for my stay, which is normally quite rare. There are plenty of car parks nearby which works out quite expensive if your staying for a few days.
