Tru By Hilton Goodyear Phoenix West, Az

Left an item on the bed in my room and had a friend ask the front desk for it back the very same day. They told her to ask housekeeping who wouldn’t respond. I then called to ask about the item twice, was told to call later the first time and was hung up on. They said “we will call you back in 5 minutes,” confirmed my phone number, and never contacted me again.

Love the location, the amenities, staff

The non-daily clean up of the parking lot, sorry people have to be messy and leave things behind.

The rooms are bare bones, no coffee maker (although its available if you want to get dressed to go downstairs). The breakfast buffet is adequate. Minimal wall sound insulation, you can hear alot of noise and activity in the halls and above if you happen to have noisy guests above your room. For the price, its OK but not what I would consider a "Hilton" experience.

We were notified that the hotel Tru by Hilton Goodyear was overbooked the morning of our reservation. We were told that our reservation had been transferred to Holiday Inn Dysart in Goodyear. When we arrived there they had not been told of our change and we were billed for the room even though we had already paid Tru through Expedia.

Lots of trash was present in common areas outside elevators on multiple floors and never picked up for days. I had to complain to front desk on 2 days. Breakfast was mediocre at best - rubbed scrambled eggs, tasteless sausage patties, poor bagels and English muffins, weak juice and weak coffee - for a new hotel = lousy (STAY ELSEWHERE). Also, no coffee in rooms.

Staff was excellent.

No closet in room. Felt like a college dorm room.

Overall property is nice. Standard room we had was pretty small. You had to share parking with nearby restaurants so kind of a hassle.

I didn’t get the room nor accommodations I requested.

I like how close & convent it was for me to get to the places I needed to and how close it was to the freeway
