"A great place to stay!"

8.0

We have stayed in most of the hotels in Białka. It was our first time in Pod Kotelnice and I can say it is amazingly located just a couple of minutes from Bania. We were there just to go to Therma Bania and it was perfectly located, we enjoyed the stay much more than when we stayed in Hotel Bania. The staff are really nice and friendly, there was one guy (I guess the owner) who was awesome and always had some great stories to tell. The room was nice, perfect size for a couple, the bathroom was also nice. The whole room was spotlessly clean. A couple of niggles, no water but only water glasses, the sockets bedside didn't work, I didn't notice until I was going to bed, so I didn't say anything. We will be back in Białka soon and will be looking to stay here again!

"Little gem"

8.0

We stayed here for Christmas to do a little skiing/snowboarding, and to have a traditional Polish Christmas Eve dinner. We have stayed at other hotels nearby (all equally as nice as this one). This one has a distinctly family feel to it. The rooms are reasonably sized, but if you're travelling with kids, go for a family room, if available. Our room overlooked the slopes, which are within very easy walking distance, even loaded up with skis and snowboards. If you just can't face the 200 metre walk, there's a car park at the foot of the slopes and in front of the three lift stations. Food was pretty good, especially the virgilia meal on Christmas Eve. If you prefer a roast dinner with trimmings, this may not be for you. Traditionally, the Poles don't eat meat on Christmas Eve. Instead it's a feast of soups, dumplings, salads, and carp. There are plenty of places nearby to eat, if you prefer to go out. You'll need a car though if you want to get about. Breakfast is buffet style with hot and cold options, and plenty of it. The staff are very friendly and add to the family/relaxed feel of the place. There's a spa with jacuzzi, sunbed, steam room and sauna, and a menu of massages available, all reasonably priced. There is a storage room at the entrance do the hotel where you can leave skis and stuff, and you are assigned a locker for the room, with a key. There is good wifi, and it's free. There's a kids club available, which I'm told was very fun. Nearby, there is a thermal baths complex. It's nice, but we prefer the one near Bukowina. Would I come back again? Absolutely yes.

"Will visit again"

8.0

I spent 3 nights at Pensjonat Pod Kotelnica. From the moment we checked in until departing the staff were very helpful in every way. I requested to use the safe and to store my luggage after checking out, it was all no problem. Spa facilities with jacuzzi, sauna, steam room and foot spa are included in the room price. Buffet breakfast offered hot breakfast (English Breakfast style) and continental style breakfast. There was nice selection of cold meats, vegetables, yoghurts, various fruits and fruit salads, tasty bread, etc. Our room was specious, comfortable and we had an extra bad for my child provided. Unfortunately there was no kettle in the room. The hotel has excellent location. It is about a 5 minutes walk to hot springs-Terma Bania and lifts. Short walk away we discovered full size ice ring. They charge 10zl per hour (around £2 at current rate). I would also recommend the night Kulig as a very nice way to spend the evening. Great fun! My son really enjoyed his time at the kids club. Thanks again for such a good experience.

"never again"

2.0

i stayed in kotelnica last summer along with my best friend and 2 small children. the hotel itself is very pretty with it's balconies and colourful flowers in every window. the rooms are clean and comfortable. the breakfast is good and so is the dinner if you have a chance to make it on time to eat it (they finish serving @ 5.30 pm ;-) our stayed was completely ruined by it's rude and unhelpful staff members who made us feel unwelcome from the moment we stepped through the door. with the owners mother making unpleasant comments regarding other guests during the breakfast service along with overfamiliar bartender and kitchen staff seating on the dining room tables during their breaks.the staff had no uniforms so we were never sure who was at work and who was a guest. the spectrum of clothing was huge from tiny little tops revealing pierced belly buttons to shorts with high heels (?) on the top of all this the hotel was dead and i mean it. no meals served after 5.30 and nobody to serve you a drink when needed.never again!!! i am really uspet that we have not moved to next door pensjonat bania which served the most amazing food and was well equiped for people with children. avoid!

"Fantastic hotel!"

10.0

Sent to stay here when we arrived for our ski holiday last Easter - the hotel we should have been in had had a fire the night before! As we drove round in the minibus sent to collect us fro mthe airport my daughter said" Look at that hotel, bet thats not where we're going", but we were! It was a new hotel only opened in January - not one I had found when searching as it didn't have an English translation on the web site, and it didnt come up in any pf my searches - but we were so lucky to be placed there. Rooms were beautiful - both had a balcony, and luxury bathrooms. Plenty of room for storage, and kettle, and LCD Tv. The restaurant was great - and a kind young management employee came and spoke to us almost every day, and translated anyrhing we didn't understand on the menu as we had forgotten our guide book.Meals were very reasonable, and its possible to pay for half board if you wish. We were there for he Easter weekend when they had a fantastic Easter breakfast - more like a lunch as it went on until mid afternoon. Th breakfast buffet on a normal day was fantastic too - hot and cold food and drinks. The hotel has a spa with jacuzzi, sauna, steam room and foot spas. Also a trearment and massage facility. It is positioned right on the Kotelnice slope - hence the name, just a short walk to the lifts. A water park ws in the process of being built at the other end of the slope area, due to be opened for the 2010-2011 ski season. Looks fabulous on the website. It is a small but growing ski resort, about half an hour fron Zakopane - we discovered it in 2009 when we stayed in Zakopane but had to travel to find snow suitable for our level of skiing. We will definitely be going back - but unfortunately not this year as my daughters' and my Easter hols do not coincide this year. So disappointed!!! Good luck to Pod Kotelnice for this ski season - hope it goes well for you.
