The location is excellent. The apartment is beautiful and newly decorated. Super friendly and helpful lady at the reception of the key pick-up point.

It's a pity that there was no elevator to the 4th floor apartment.

The location of the apartment is fantastic, right in the middle of the old town overlooking the river, and surrounded by restaurants, shops and cafes. The apartment is beautiful, very clean and tidy - minimal white decor, with a nod to the heritage and history of the building. The views out are stunning.

The only negative is that it's on the 4th floor of a building with no lift, which we didn't know/realise until we arrived. I was in a group of x5 fit and healthy 40yr olds, but it's very possible those with young children or elderly in their party may struggle with that access.

The apartment was great. Very clean. Modern. Great location.

Communication with the owners was not very good. I left multiple messages about check in and out procedures. The responses were delayed by hours and vague about the timing of the check-in . The check in states we were supposed to be met by a representative to hand over the keys to the apartment. We ended up having to go to a lock box a few blocks away to get them. As for the checkout procedure, again the terms stated that someone would be meeting us at 11am to give them the keys. The day before, and early in the morning of our checkout day, I left 3 or 4 messages to confirm our checkout time to hand over the keys, because we were booked on a train back to Barcelona that we didn't want to miss. I received ZERO messages from anyone to confirm the checkout time. Then the cleaning crew shows up 15 minutes before our scheduled 11 am checkout time. They had no knowledge about the owners meeting us for the checkout. They also didn't speak English, which made it difficult to see if we could just leave the keys in the apartment. The clean up crew woman was VERY NICE and was finally able to phone someone who spoke English and who might be able to let us know what was going on. We were finally told to leave the keys at the apartment by this person. It was stressful for me because I didn't want to just leave the keys without a representative from the apartment. The door can't self lock, so if I left the keys in the apartment and left, the door wouldn't be locked. I didn't want something to happen to the apartment and get blamed for it. Very frustrating. That said. The apartment was very nice. Great location. Clean. Comfortable. Better communication from the owners is sorely needed.

not much at all 5 levels of stairs was challenging, but got used to it

The location could not be better. Right above the main street in Old Girona. Close to all the attractions. Quiet at night too

4 floors up. Fine except if you have bulky luggage. Not a problem for us and worth the climb for the view
