Sandspit Lodge

Great little get away , secluded but not too far from all amenities. Lovely service as well.

The bathroom and toilet for our room are downstairs which is not very convenient especially at night time, you have go downstairs for it. I don’t feel people reception us there welcome us at all,no smile at all during the whole time of our stay, we are late for the breakfast because we have a 2 years old, the guy seems to not happy about it. When we left, we tell him that we are going, he just said ok, then go back to his work. It’s the first time we stay at bed and breakfast and we are not planning to do it again, the lodge says itself its a luxury stay, but be able to say that not only the facilities but also needs to have a great service to be able to call itself luxury. I also hope this have nothing to do with races, we are Asian. But seems like the service is quite different with the British people who stay at the same time with us.

The owners SMOKE in the house and outside the house absolutely STINKS of cigarette smoke, not suitable for non smokers and certainly not kids. We had 3 kids and were appalled. Our clothes stunk. Pleased to leave in the morning. Glad we only booked 1 night. If WOT IF advertises this property they should make clear that the owners SMOKE inside.

A quiet B&B in Sandspit but wouldnt necessary call it "luxury".

Incredible views, great location, brilliant sized room with comfortable beds and good breakfast selection. We loved and appreciated the noon check out. Unfortunately, none of us slept at all, as we were absolutely attacked by mozzies all night. I'm guessing it was because we arrived back to our room too late to close all the windows and doors before dusk. Perhaps make sure to do that!!
