Hostal Michel

Die Lage des Hostels ist mitten in der Stadt aber trotzdem ruhig. Die Anlage ist etwas geworhnungsbeduerftig (fuer einen alteren (spiessigen)Europaer, aber man lernt es schnell die vielen Sitzgelegenheiten und die Moeglichkeit zu kochen (alles in die Jahre gekommen) zu geniessen. Man hat direkt schnellen und netten Kontakt zu den anderen Gaesten. Die Gastgeberin ist sehr bemueht und sehr nett. .

Todo, desde la recepción hasta el check out todos amables incluso nos guardaron los bolsos por unas horas más

Not much. Good location and fairly nice garden/ communal area.

First of all, we arrived at 1pm to check in which is the check in time on Booking.com. The woman running the hostel did not respond to the bell being rang or any messages or phone calls. We had to wait until 2pm to check in, which we would not have minded if a later check in was communicated or if an apology was given. However, she didn't offer an apology for this delay and instead was very rude as if we were inconveniencing her. She then told us that we couldn't park for free on any of the streets and that we had to pay to use the hostel's system which holds your car overnight. Yet we parked for free on a street nearby with no problems at all for two days and therefore you clearly do not need to pay as she stated. The room was basic with thin sheets on the bed. The bathroom was also basic and dirty with hairs around the sink and surfaces. The owner was consistently rude and condescending when you asked her any questions. Other places in Vicuña look much nicer to stay in.
