Raine Motel

For the price it was very clean and the staff we met were great. It is showing some signs of its age, and the bed needed replacing. We also only had one very thin blanket, and i don't think it would be enough come colder weather. The breakfast was a bit lacking but we didn't starve. The outside area was very nice.

We stayed on day 20 of our 23-day vacation, and I can't remember it clearly. I didn't make notes on this property which makes me think I had no major complaints, but I believe the room was clean but well-worn. I thought this place did NOT have breakfast despite being advertised as such, but because I do not have a note about it, I might be confusing it with another property. I'd suggest that people call the property to confirm about breakfast. It's something that is important to us, but maybe not for others.

There wasn’t much to like, except the staff was very nice.

Dirty and dingy are the words that come to mind. I was not comfortable staying there.

Our booking was for a room with 2 queen beds, but we had 2 full beds. We booked 2 rooms, and both were the same. Rooms were poorly maintained (stains on mattresses). We weren’t expecting a luxury trip. This didn’t feel vintage or quaint, it felt run down, un- maintained and dirty.

This property is convenient-right on Hwy 20 The grounds are nice with a neatly trimmed and watered lawn where you can take your pet, and planters and planters of marigolds. It has a new roof and the outside is tidy. Checkin was swift and easy. The inside of our room was tired. The tv and door lock were updated. Bed was clean and reasonably comfortable. Refrigerator worked well. Everything was clean except for a few dead beetles behind the bathroom door and I’m choosing to believe it’s bc they spray for bugs??? Biggest cons were the really noisy (but nice and cold) air conditioner and noise coming through the walls. We left before breakfast. 3-4 stars.
