Hotel El Capitan

A good stop once again...love walking into a tranquil and calming ambiance. Check in was efficiently and graciously handled by Hays. Our room was immaculate---thank you housekeeping. The bar and restaurant are now known as Henry's (an interesting bit of history here) but service is still outstanding as always. A special shout out to Candice for her hospitality!

An exceptional place to stay. The room was impeccable. The building was beautiful. Parking was convenient. And to top it off the food served by the restaurant was delicious. If there was anything not up to the highest standard, it was the breakfast, but it was still adequate.

This place is a gem! Absolutely beautiful! Built in 1930 but completely refurbished a few years ago. The room was great. The restaurant was great and the staff is outstanding.

I stayed here for two nights while hiking the Guadalupe Peak trail. Very well maintained older historic hotel. Very clean and well lighted bathroom. Only negative was proximity to the railroad tracks but I don't think the train horn noise would be much better at a hotel on I-10. I would definitely stay here again. The food in the restaurant was very good.
