Casa Kaligari history Old Town Rovinj

The hosts were extremely friendly and helpful! Damir gave us a briefing about the history of the old-town and the house itself. There is a generations-old shoe-maker business still operating at the bottom floor, and the house is located in the middle of old-town Rovinj. We had bad weather on a few days of our stay, and the central location of the hosue really helped us make the most of our time. The place is extremely authentic with a genuine Istrian old-town feel, and our room had a beautiful view of the neighbouring rooftops. Even though the house itself is probably centuries old, the rooms are renovated, modern and clean. Everything else, amenities etc. was also perfectly fine.

As with any old-town house in such a location, you may have to climb some narrow steps to your room (i.e., like a lot of places in Amsterdam have).

The accommodation is very nice and comfortable. It is i a small quote street. It is fully assembled. The brain is very comfortable. The hosts is very kind and helpful. I recommend the place.

There are many traps that are quite steep. You have to be careful because there is nothing to hold on.

Very well equipped studio, with all things that you may need during your stay. Very clean and smelling nicely. The owner was really nice, gave us a map and explained what was worth visiting. Very good location, yet peaceful at night.

The check-in was not ideal. Until the moment of our arrival there was no contact from the owner. The phone provided on Booking.com turned out to be the one of his daughter and she did not pick up. The lady at the neighbouring shop saved us as she showed us the right number indicated at the window of his shop.

Very central and although quite small it had everything you need. The aircon was great, beds were comfortable, good shower, the owners were lovely and very helpful. They left some treats for me as it was my birthday which was a nice touch

Lovely cosy apartment. In the heart of the Old Town and very near Carera Street and Town centre. Perfect for a festival stay. The host and owners are real lovely and helpful people. Property is fresh and recently renovated. They provided a hotel like experience albeit this is a studio flat. Bars and restaurants are all close on hand.

Only down side is the stairs leading up to the studio which is on the 3nd floor, albeit there's one on the 2nd floor too. However this is only on arrival. During our stay it was good to walk off the excess foods. Leaving is much easier as it's downhill!
