Hotel La Vega

My husband and I had a great stay at Hotel La Vega. It was in a quieter area but close enough walk to all the action at the center city. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The pool was beautiful and very clean. It’s so nice to have that option when traveling in the summer. The wait staff were very friendly and polite. The views are beautiful!

This is not 4 star hotel standards. The air conditioning was not working in the first room they gave us, then they moved us to a much smaller room. Communication as far as transportation from the marina to the hotel was extremely poor. They do not have do not disturb signs for your door, staff go in for turndowns even when you ask them not to. They are far from the city, you need to walk up a steep hill to get to Capri center. They have a strange policy of leaving the room key with the reception when you go out of the hotel. Rooms are outdated. They have free breakfast, very limited, not very appetizing and they had dirty dishes spread all over the area where the food was. Overall, I would not want to go there again. Not recommended. Only reason I give it a two is because the reception staff are very polite and tried to always help.

It’s a nice hotel, but isn’t the level of the other four star hotels in Capri the food is very good but the furnishings etc. are quite old
