Hotel Casona Independencia

This three star hotel should be rated higher. It is very comfortable, modern, and clean. The courtyards are a huge bonus. It was a very relaxing place in a great location. No nightclubs nearby!

My only complaint is that guests left beer bottles and cigarette stubs on the outside tables and no one cleaned them up. (My room was clean. Just not the common space.) What unkind person purposely leaves trash for others to throw out?

Location was pretty good, very comfortable bed, shower had very good water pressure and the room and patio has some charm and most importantly it was very clean The staff was very helpful and accommodating. Great choice. I definitely come back to this place

The room description said that there was minibar in the room, well there was but it was locked. In a place as hot and humid for me having cold a beverage it is a good deal. Looks like the mini bar was just available if you want to buy their sodas and beers. Also, I didn't have any soap just a tiny bottle of shampoo.

Location is not ideal - as the neighborhood can feel unsafe; especially at night time.

Jacuzzi not working until 3rd day of trip

Our stay here was wonderful. We all arrived during the heat dome and initially (and accidentally) booked a stay at a different place that had no air conditioner. We emergency booked at Casona Independencia and were able to easily check in immediately after booking. The rooms were comfortable and the bed was probably the best i've ever slept on. The showers were lovely and the ac was a lifesaver. Everyone there was so lovely and helpful!!! The local area was super walkable with multiple bodegas, restaurants, etc. all within the near by blocks. If it wasn't for the abnormal heat we could have gotten by with walking down to the center. My friends and I definitely plan on coming back (:

The only funny thing was that the toilet room was only private via a fogged shower door so we ended up having each other leave the room when we needed to use the restroom in order to have some privacy. NOT A BIG DEAL THOUGH as everything else was lovely. Even leaving the room to give each other privacy was no big deal because there was a beautiful garden court to lounge in.
