Sooooo much love within these beautiful souls, willing to help with anything i needed! I also formed more connections here. The food was amazing - i had falafel & fries! Bar/restaurant, skate ramp etc.. All round, funky place with a chill vibe! Jah Bless

Great place to stay if you're need a place to work & surf. Friendly staff, knowledgeable about the area (do the free surf tip session!). It was the perfect place to get my surf in, and find good wifi and quiet co-working space to work afterwards. Would definitely recommend it!

Pros: you can meet lot of surfers, this is the minimum budget option they have affordable yoga and other courses they offer access to yoga room you can rent a surf board at place at very good price Cons: internet in the rooms is low quality, you will not be able to work from room (pay extra 10 eu or so for a desk) they use strong clorine to clean, so get used to every day cleaning the shared kitchen is scary place to eat (its partially cleaned by volunteers, read between lines) during covid times, one of the employee got sick, information was hidden from guest, that resulted in many covid cases. Some guess could avoid infection if they would be warned and choose other place, but instead they got checked in to a hostel with already known cases.

A great hostel

The name is a bit misleading at it is in Baleal/Ferrel not in Peniche. People got confused cause Peniche has a street with the same name. I recommend not to book the breakfast ahead because the restaurant opens quite late and you might not have the change to take it. I could not enjoy 2 out of 3 breakfasts I had already paid for - the restaurants opens at 8:30 am, meeting for the surf session in the morning was at 8:45 am. So I wasted my money here. The Mexican restaurant is amazing, loved very single dish there! The portions are quite small so you have to order 2, but the prices are not too high. Waitresses are very slow unfortunately, you have to wait a long time until someone finally sees you. Kitchen and dorm were not the cleanest. Nobody used the small pool as it looked quite ugly and dirty. What I disliked most was the huge locker obove the bed. You don't have a lot of space so I hurt my knee a couple times at the sharp edge. Interior is nice, Yoga session was for free and quite nice too. If you are sensitive with noise be aware that the halfpipe in front of the house is quite loud. Distance to the beaches is fine, there are amazing deserted beaches behind the house (walk inside the second street on the right and climb down the rocks). Would not stay there again, I think it is overrated.

En general , es un hostal que quiere ser hotel. El cuarto no vale lo que pagas , es muy caro para el servicio que te dan. Muchísimos ruido , no solo en la noche si no la mañana , elcuarto estaba sucio y nos dieron entrada hasta las 6 pm debido a que no habían hecho la limpieza , y el staff muy poco profesional. No me vuelvo a quedar en un Selina a menos de que quiera ir de hostal.

We stayed at Selina for NYE. We were very welcome by everyone that worked there. As it was a bit cold outside we missed some internal and comfortable lounge. Bear in mind this hotel is not in the center but in Baleal. Anyway, much better and chilled (in my opinion)
