Pitkin Hotel

I paid for a queen bed room and got a tiny room with a full size bed.

Staff is very helpful with information needed to locate services while in NY. Good breakfast.

The hotel smelt like weed and had a lot of people from the shelter as its residence. I didnot feel safe there and would not recommend it to anyone.

It is a quaint hotel, the only complaint is that the cleaning staff is too noisy. One morning at about 5:00 am the cleaning staff where hitting the door while moping. The excessive noise did not let me sleep through the morning. The breakfast has great variety and is pretty good.

When I arrived the staff was very nice and accommodating, however once I entered the room I noticed that there were no curtains present except for the very thin ones that are typically under the regular curtains. Not too big of a deal, except that I was on the ground floor and could see everything going on outside, so I am sure they could see me as well. Also, since I was right by the check in, I could hear everything that was being said, dropped, and mishandled throughout the entire night. I suppose both of these issues are more specific to the particular room I was given, otherwise the room and hotel met typical standards

It served my purpose,staff was helpful. The price was good.

Breakfast was great . Fresh made waffles awesome!!!

the turn down service was terrible. The room was orderly at first site but upon further inspection the sheets and pillowcases were covered in make-up (no one changed the sheets)they made the bed with the same sheets the previous guests had been rolling in!!! the bathroom appreared clean but there was hair all over the shower when I pulled back the shower curtains and there was a d*ck drawn in the mirror ( visible only after the steam from the shower fogged up the glass). Also the glasswear had dust protectors placed on them but there was visible lipstick stains on them from the previous guests. Horrible!!!!!!!
