Childwall Abbey, by Marstons Inns

This place was really nice and quiet. The staff and the people in the area, in general, were very nice. The room is pretty basic and there was not a microwave or fridge. But it was good for a 2 night stay.

We were attending an evening wedding celebration locally to the pub and the Childwall Abbey Hotel was just what we needed.

Great pub and hotel, with loads of history. Locals very friendly. Food service abit hit and miss but they tried their best. Room was quite big and well presented but bathroom very tired, requires updating.

I was looking for a hotel in the Childwall area and this one was just was in exactly the right location. It was clean and comfortable although it is older and shows that in some areas but for the price it is hard to beat. I would stay there again.

This is such a beautiful building with rich historical features. The pub is beautiful and the rooms are comfortable. The staff was very accommodating. Many lovely things about the property. We ate outside because of the lovely weather and the view. The manager was very kind. We would stay here again in a heartbeat. The only thing to know is this is a historical building so the plumbing is a bit old, sounds like foghorns when used but it seems appropriate for an accommodation in a port city!

Great experience, warm,cosy,clean and friendly.

Check in was a bit of a task but this was probably due to staff being tied up with a funeral / wake that was in progress at the time. Room was clean, bed was super big and super comfy. Very pleasant pub with decent beer and value for money food. Will definitely return
