Hotel Playamaro

Parking was difficult. Only half a dozen spaces outside. Public car park opposite, but due to fiesta we were turned away! Literally nowhere to park. Had to visit somewhere else and come back later. No warning from hotel about potential parking problems either. Rooms were dated. Poor decor, minimal crockery erc too

La recepcionista muy bien la habitacion: correcta. Pedí cama matrimonio pero no hubo suerte. Para mi las camas, almohadas y sábanas no eran confortables. No había jabón ni en el lavabo, ni en la ducha y ya no había personal en recepción para pedirlos. Muy mal puesto que la habitación no estaba disponible hasta más tarde de las 14h. Desde las 12h que se deja, tienen tiempo suficiente para revisar y reponer.

Very nice place and view. Pool is good and one of the only pools in Maro. There is no service at the hotel but if you know then all good.

Los apartamentos bastante antiguos Bañera vieja y en mala condición …y prácticamente sin servicio de recepción no llegan hasta las 11 de la mañana y se van a las 19:00 pm si tienes dudas como saber hora d check out o preguntar si puedes aumentar una noche más …tiene q ser en ese horario porq en recepción no hay nadie . Las recepcionistas cuando están les preguntas recomendaciones donde ir o donde comer y no saben nada de la zona

Booked this hotel last minute for weekend away, arrived to find that our reservation hadn't reached the hotel and they were fully booked, however the friendly lady receptionist was amazing and managed somehow to find us a room and had it cleaned and prepared in minutes, staff in the bar are super friendly and helpful, food was very good in the restaurant, small pool on the roof was really nice at the end of a hot day, location great, bus down to the beach for €1.50 return. We totally fell in love with this classic Spanish hotel, comfy beds, spotless and friendly, can't wait to go there again!

Estuvimos muy agusto nos sentimos como en casa

This was our second visit to this hotel. It’s in the village we need to be in so thought we would give it a go as surly they must have got the pool sorted as it’s still being advertised! Nope, 4 years later it’s still not in use and people are paying for this facility. Also, no balcony you can sit out on, was told last time, ‘we don’t have balconies in real Spain’ ??. If this hotel was advertised and priced for what it actually is, a one star cheap and chearfull with a good 40 minute walk into nerja, then fine, but it’s not !

Fantastic views from our 2 balcony's, separate bedroom, breakfast either continental or bacon and scrambled eggs. Evening meal , not much choice as we had paid half board , but lovely.Outside tables if you want to eat outside. Good location for the caves. Town a 10 euro ride away or you can walk. Nerja is beautiful and lively with loads of shops and places to eat. I would recommend both hotel and location.
