Was charged hidden fees when arrived to property also had to pay a deposit that wasnt mentioned online

So dirty we decided to take a shower at a truck stop! No toilet paper or tissues in box when we checked in. Bed was ok.

Rude staff

At check-in, I was charged a three dollar per night fee. They didn’t know what the fee was for, but I was yet charged for it. I also was charged a deposit. Hopefully, I will see where I get that back on my credit card. The best thing about the free breakfast was the free coffee.

There’s absolutely no way my husband and I could have stayed in this place, even if our only other choice was to sleep in our vehicle. The bed linen was stained with what looked like urine from some animal. The towels were also stained in the same way. There was dried spots of so,e white substance on the floor in front of the refrigerator. There was a huge spider in the bathroom, and the room smelled of marijuana, due to the group “hanging out” on the sidewalk and parking lot. There was an individual disassembling/repairing his bicycle near the dumpster who made us feel uneasy. We did receive our $100 deposit back, but the owner/manager refused us a refund because he stated that the room was booked through Hotels.com. I read the reviews prior to booking, so maybe only the good reviews are chosen to post online.

Got there and another motel goer asked for a toilet plunger.. the attendant made him go to the guest service bathroom and get one.. then take it to his own room and plunge it himself.. get into our room and no toilet paper. They made us come back and get it ourselves. Curly hairs in the tub.. looked as if someone had peed and let it dry in the bedsheets. People outside yelling and going on all hours of the night.

Ultimately, you get what you pay for. It was still a plausible deal at $70 a night. But breakfast offerings a joke, even for a super 8. Juice machine broken, only cheerios, milk, coffee, tea, muffin and omelet. Front desk staff very professional.
