Casa Mendeleev

Great apartment for a few days. Makes for an easy base with all the home comforts required. In a lovely part of the city. Friendly and helpful host. Will hopefully book again on a return visit.

Pavel is a great host... He did above and beyond to accomodate us and make our stay comfortable and pleasant. He apartment located in the heart of Bucharest, close to all the main attractiins. He has a big apartment and great attitude towards his guests... I highly recommend him!

Great host! Pavel did above and beyond to accommodate us and make our stay in Bucharest as comfortable as possible. He was always available and super responsive. The apartment was good and the location is the best - close to all city center attractions. I more than recommend this place to anyone who wants to have comfortable and pleasant stay in Bucharest.

The owner of this hotel is very good, and our communication is very pleasant. He gave me a detailed introduction to the facilities of the room. The room is large, clean and well-equipped. I will come here again in the future.

Ingen reception men de var väldigt snabba på att svara via telefonnumret som fanns i appen registrerat på boendet. Ganska sunkigt boende och ingen städning på tre dygn. De knackade på en gång vad vi vet men då sov vi. Dyrt för vad man fick men kanske att priset var så högt pga att det var över nyårshelgen.

The photos on Hotel.com were quite nice, but in reality they were fake. The actual apartment had outdated furniture and the walls are in need of a new coat of paint. There were NO pots or pans, NO glasses, NO cups and NO utensils. But only a very small fridge, a kettle and a microwave. Pavel the owner told us he would bring us some, but never returned to do so. The only positive of this apartment is its location, that's it. The day of our check-in we met an unfriendly young man who was more into himself and "his instructions" than into customer's service. When I had a question, he would quickly interrupt me and tell me to quote "Listen to what I have to tell you". I felt I was at the army being lectured by my superior. At first I thought that he was just a disgruntled employee, but I was shocked when he introduced himself as "Pavel the owner". Oh by the way, Pavel the owner never smiled once. At check-in he was nowhere to be found. We had to ask the retail shop next door to call his phone and we were told we were not the first to do so. We asked Pavel for a late check-out, he said "Not one minute more". We were punctually ready at 10:30 AM waiting to return his keys. But Pavel the owner was NOWHERE to be found. So again we had to ask the shop next door to call him. He answered the call, sounding half asleep and irritated. When he arrived I handed his keys, politely said thank you and goodbye. Pavel the owner never smiled once. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE TO ANYONE!

This is an apartment rather than hotel and was conveniently located so we could walk anywhere in OldTown. 2 bedrooms, which is hard to find, and a very reasonable price. It was clean and comfortable. I would definitely stay there again.
