Jasmineiro I by An Island Apart

Zeer ruim duplex- appartement in Funchal met alle nodige voorzieningen voor een comfortabele wandelvakantie op Madeira en panoramisch zicht over de stad! Wij verbleven met vijf vriendinnen en hadden een topverblijf. Ruime keuken, veel opbergruimte, ondergrondse parking inbegrepen (dat heel handig is in Funchal), twee terrassen, maar liefst drie volwaardige badkamers,… Vlakbij een hele fijne buurt en op wandelafstand (15-20min) van het commercieel centrum van Funchal. Op voorhand vlot contact met de organisatie/host. Duidelijke instructies en veel informatie beschikbaar.

Keukengerei mocht uitgebreider. Ook het buitenmeubilair voor zo’n groot appartement en terras kon beter. We verbleven nu met zijn vijven en was doenbaar, maar er is ruimte om nog iets extra te voorzien! Je moet rekening houden met nachtlawaai, zeker wanneer je met je ramen open slaapt (er is geen airco aanwezig).

A lovely apartment with the most amazing views over Funchal from the balcony. There are 3 bedrooms, one double with an en-suite, two twin rooms and two more bathrooms on the main floor, and a large separate kitchen fully equipped. Upstairs there is a large sunroom and daybed with a separate bathroom and utility room. This leads out to a beautiful roof terrace with more amazing views. Location is excellent with the town centre only a few minutes walk (down hill!). And there are plenty of Bolt taxis available to take you anywhere you want to go. Lots of restaurants and two grocery stores close by. Highly recommend this place and we hope to return!

Just a little bit of road noise but the windows are sound proof so you don’t hear it from the bedrooms at night.

The apartment is very spacious and beautiful. It is very convenient - we found everything we needed. The beds and bedrooms were comfortable and the 3 showers + one extra toilet were great for the 5 of us. The living room was great to chill. The balcony and terrace views were amazing any time of the day. There was a parking spot for us. The building has a pool too, which we didn't use as the weather was not so warm while we were there. And last but not least, the location was great - not even 5 minutes to the shopping mall and 15 min to the center of town or the park near the sea. I would recommend this place to any friend going to Madeira.

Everything was great! The only recommendation I have is about something minor - to get a new wine bottle opener. The one provided was broken and I'm sure the next guests will appreciate having one as the views go great with a glass of wine :)

Noisy location, which went on all night. Not a very good pool area, only two chairs and no parasols, didn’t feel very welcoming and was one of the reasons we chose the apartment.
