Royal Darmo Malioboro

We stayed here 3 nights while visiting Jogja. The hotel is well located, 10 minute walk to Malioboro. Room was spacious and clean, staff were very nice as well! Buffet breakfast was good with lots of options. Only complaint would be noise, there is a mosque next to the hotel and the daily morning prayers at 4:30am woke us up every morning; it is broadcasted over speakers and was very loud, especially with our orientation which faced the pool. The windows of the room have little insulation which does not help. Perhaps this would be avoided in a room facing another direction! Keep in mind when booking.

The location is quite good in malioboro but alittle bit far from malioboro street, better using becak to get there. Check in and check out proces is good, fast, and the staff are very helpull. The room is also big enough, although the furniture is quite old but clean enough to take a rest there. The bathroom is okey, clean and there's a hot water too. The breakfast experience is good too, there's several menus in this restaurant, the taste is also quite good. You can take a breakfast near the pool site. Thanks for a kindly assist from hotel staffs during our stay.

This hotel walking distance to malioboro street.about 5-10 minutes. You also can found many culinary and traditional food along the way to malioboro street. If using becak cost about 10-20k... the food at bfast taste bad, swimming pool ok lah for children. The staff at front office looks like a fresh graduate and the room is Ok but hot water many times dont works..we stay at 601 and 602 for 2 nights...seems this is new hotel,but rate 850/r/n i think quite expensive for this hotel..i can put more rupiah to stay at international chain hotel 5*

We stayed at Royal Darmo in Aug 2018. We had 2 rooms booked side by side. Both rooms were very comfortable n bathrooms clean n spacious. All basic amenities were present. The BF was very good with a lot of local n international options. They also have a in house spa. The staff at the front desk was very pleasant n helpful.

Royal Darmo Malioboro is a really nice hotel with quiet surroundings and I totally recommend it to you who seek for a great hotel at reasonable price! It’s really a hidden gem placed only about 5minutes from a famous hangout place at Yogyakarta, Malioboro. The room is clean and pretty spacious, but you can hear airplanes sound from your room which can be both advantage and disadvantage. The breakfast was really nice, they have tasty buffet such as gudeg, bread, cereal, egg station, juices, infused water, etc. A big thanks to all of the staffs who helped us to have a great and enjoyable stay here especially to the receptionist (Deris) who have been real kind and very helpful! Two thumbs up for him! :) Keep up the excellent work

Royal Darmo Hotel is located near Malioboro street. It is about 10 minutes walking. This hotel is near with Yogyakarta Train Station, its about 10 minutes using car. Royal Darmo has good facility with clean swimming pool and they have good breakfast too. But if you dont like noise especially sound from airplane, Royal Darmo is not good choice because this place have sam coordinate with airplane during landing. Actually overall Royal Darmo Hotel is good enough and they have good staff who will give you kindness..

The hotel is located in a quiet area but also close to the railway station and the Malioboro street. The style of the hotel is classic, javanese, and some art-deco. Rooms are comfortable, clean and has everything you need. There is also a balcony but the door is locked. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Restaurant is absolutely not overpriced, like in many hotels in this category. Restaurant is very crowded when I stayed there, especially during breakfast, because there were many group travelers and lots of tour buses. There is no (reading) lamp at bedside. It is too dark to read something in bed at night!

A nice classic modern hotel closed to malioboro street. A big room available and spacious. Staff were so kindly welcome. New experienced was the key receive in only, that us just sitting in chair. All staff were nice as known Jogja people. Love to stay here and recommended.
