Super 8 by Wyndham Newport News

Nothing was clean! Not the room itself, not the bed (hair & human in bodily fluid stains), the tub was disgusting, the floor was nasty & even the curtains were filthy with stains! The locking mechanism on the door looked very flimsy as well. My advice... Just keep driving! There are several much better hotels in the area. It's just not worth it!

I do not recommend this hotel on account of dishonesty and poor customer service. My reservation stated coffee maker and breakfast. This is false advertising. There was no coffee maker in my room. I walked around the hotel at 8 AM both mornings I was there but the dining room was locked and the lights were off. On the second day I rang the doorbell on the office door but no one answered. When I called the hotel later after leaving, I asked about the breakfast and the woman who answered was impolite. She said the coffee maker wasn’t meant to be in the room, which is a bizarre response. She denied that breakfast wasn’t offered. When I told her I was on the security camera ringing the doorbell trying to get breakfast at 8 AM, she told me she would check the camera and get back to me. She never responded. The room was fine but due to false advertising and poor customer service I wouldn’t go back.

The sheets and all was dirty. Bugs on the bed and room stunk

To be honest, it felt like a $50-$60 room… not $110. It is an old run down building, very noisy during the day and at night, and just isn’t in a great area. Stains on the blankets, linens, and even towels… (pro tip this is why we always bring our own blankets and towels. Even the nice hotels don’t wash stuff properly IMO.) 3 out of 5 stars overall. The people running the place were very nice and did swap our rooms when the first “non smoking” room smelled like someone had just smoked in it.

Very old motel. It was clean and bed was very comfortable. They said they had breakfast in the morning but it was coffee, apples and cookies bought from a store. Very disappointing. Hot and cold water were hooked up backwards

My husband and I were unexpectedly without a place to live. We were victims of a real estate rental scam and literally were in a U-Haul loaded with our belongings and were homeless. The scammer took our money and we found ourselves at the Wyndham Super 8. The unfortunate event has really caused hardships for us. But the staff has been wonderful and helpful and friendly and we are truly grateful.
