Harbour Beach Club, Hotel & Spa

Fantastic location with great views. The hotel room was very clean and housekeeping was excellent. The bed was extremely comfortable and the shower pressure was brilliant. The shuttle bus was an added bonus. The ladies working in the mornings serving breakfast were all so lovely, as well as the man running the shuttle bus service. The continental breakfast was excellent (it could have just had a slight variation day to day as we were staying 4 nights).

We were here as part of our honeymoon and despite mentioning it to the hotel upon booking, we didn't receive anything special apart from a note and a few chocolates. I've had more for birthdays! Expected more given the price of the hotel. They also put us in a room with scaffolding at the window which I didn't really appreciate as builders were working if we wanted to sit outside on the balcony. The cooked breakfast wasn't a great portion size and not the best choices for an added £10. Also, the free snacks could be more than just a couple of biscuits. Sadly, the staff on reception weren't the friendliest bunch! The dimmable light switches were a bit of a faff.

Really great location, with a free shuttle in and out of salcombe. The hotel has a great indoor pool and is right on the beach! The rooms are lovely, and the housekeeping staff kept the place really today. The Spa had a good selection of treatments, and were very accomodating when we had to move things around.

Very minor points, but it’s just missing a few finishing touches for the price. For example they forgot to put beach towels out a few days, the sun beds were sandy and could have benefited from a quick pat Down, the spa had a few floating bugs and needed a clean, the sign said join us for Easter lunch and its two months past Easter. Nothing that impacted our experience, but minor points that you expect for the price.
