The staff were exceptional... engaging and helpfulth

The pool, functionally was good, but it is starting to look a bit worn

Very clean and perfect for the two of us. Big terrace b with great views and sun all day. Pool area was very relaxing and clean

Palm trees outside the terrace area needed tidying up but not the fault of the owner.

They transferred us with from our original booking to this sister hotel with no problems.

No water in rooms, or water fountain to fill our cycling water bottles.

Location, pool, views , size of outside space , air conditioning , friendly staff met us at the property, easy to park

Tired furniture, no parasols outside, terrace furniture was damaged, shade covering was ripped, kitchen wasn't well equipped, it could be a lovely apartment with a little money spent on equipment

Nothing is liked. We did not get our money back as was promised (though the booking.com wrote a letter to Bahia as they asked). If Bahia Santa Cruz returns money we will gladly change this response. Otherwise, we advise any potential client to think about the possibility to get not what is on the picture when reserving in Bahia Santa Cruz.

We did not like the attitude toward the clients (us) at all. The actions of Bahia Santa Cruz were absolutely unacceptable. We have arrived to the hotel before 9 pm. The hotel worker (I do not know the position of the woman) talked to us over the telephone as if we were not welcomed. The territory of the hotel is located on the closed territory with a lot of buildings. All buildings had a lot of flowers and looked good. But when we approached Bahia Santa Cruz building it turned out that it had no flowers or plants and it looked as a construction site recently cleaned. The hotel worker came together with a man and showed us the apartment. The apartment had a strong smell of paint and the hotel worker confirmed that they had painted the apartment recently. We tried to open a window but it looked like blocked and the hotel worker drew the curtain quickly. My son is allergic so we asked if they could return money and we would find something else. She answered that it was not a problem and tomorrow we would get our money back if the booking.com wrote a letter with request to return money as an exeption. We asked several times if she was sure. She said yes. We left the territory (you need the code to get on the territory). But after discussing the situation we decided to come back and sleep with open windows (there was something about the worker's behavior that pointed to the fact that something wrong would be with her promise to return money). But the code did not work. We called the hotel worker but she said that the check in was not possible and she left the territory (though only several minutes passed and we did not see how she left). So we went to other hotel and stayed there. By the way, Bahia Santa Cruz is located on the hill and away from the center of Almunecar, so it took time to get there and back. Next day nobody returned our money. We called the hotel worker and she promised that her boss would take care of it.

Very much liked having a big terrace to ourselves. Picking up the key was easy, but the address on my print-out wasn't helpful in finding the place, so it took us a while to find it.

I should have double checked about the swimming pool as it did say it wasn't open in October on my print-out of the arrangements. But I had looked in the previous few days online and it said 'swimming pool open'. And in fact it turned out it had been closed in mid September. So it was a bit confusing, as it said different things in different places and I wouldn't have booked this place if I'd known. Also the building work wasn't great. And there was good quality cutlery and crockery, but very limited in terms of glasses and cups.
