Great little oasis after arrival into Tanzania

Beautiful setting and rooms were tastefully decorated.

Our initial rooms had an issue with hot water. We had to make a bit of a fuss - which was a shame -but were eventually moved to upgraded rooms - after this the staff couldn't have been more attentive.

Beautiful hotel with gorgeous setting. The rooms are spacious and the breakfast is adequate. I didn’t appreciate the several mistakes about food charges. The staff is not as friendly and trained as in other high quality hotels. There is a beautiful river walk around the property that shouldn’t be missed. Great location for trips to Kilimanjaro and Kilimanjaro airport.

We had the most wonderful stay at Rivertrees Country Inn – it truly felt like a hidden gem nestled in nature. The atmosphere was calm and welcoming, with beautiful grounds that offered just the right mix of adventure and tranquility. As a family travelling with a toddler, we couldn’t have asked for a more perfect setting. Harrison absolutely loved exploring the gardens, spotting monkeys in the trees, and splashing around near the little stream. The staff were so warm and thoughtful – always ready with a smile and so kind to our little one. Our room was cosy, clean, and beautifully decorated – with plenty of space for Harrison to play and for us to relax. The food was delicious, and the outdoor dining under the stars made every meal feel special. We left feeling recharged and grateful – Rivertrees is more than just a place to stay; it’s a place to breathe, slow down, and connect. We’ll definitely be back. Highly recommended for families looking for a peaceful base in Arusha.
