Rivertrees Country Inn

The room was quiet and comfortable. I loved that there was a mosquito net even though the bugs weren’t very bad during my visit. I loved walking around the grounds looking for birds and monkeys. Get a neck/shoulder/back massage from Evelyn at the spa. She is amazing! The front desk staff was also very kind and allowed my travel companion and I to keep a room for a few hours after check-out since they weren’t busy and our flights weren’t until later. The food was also delicious (breakfast, lunch, and dinner).

Appalling WiFi that didn’t work at all in the rooms and was at best poor in the restaurant and bar. At these prices you should expect better.

Nice and comfortable accommodation in the setting of a previous coffee plantation. Our garden room backs on the Usa River and there is a sitting area that one can sit and relax. The swimming room is just short walk from our room. Staff are friendly and nice. They offer turn down service and help to prep your bed net and spray the room to decrease mosquitoes in your room.

What a stunning place! Everything is beautiful and it's so peaceful. Loved watching the monkeys and exploring the river. The staff are very warm and friendly.

No air conditioning

The inn is tucked away in a peaceful spot but still conveniently close to Arusha and Kilimanjaro Airport. We utilised the Airport Shuttle service which made the transfer seamless. It’s was the ideal place to rest before heading out on safari. The gardens are amazing with their towering trees and flowing river, we managed to see monkeys just a short walk from our room. What really made a difference was the genuine hospitality of the staff. From the moment we arrived, I felt so warmly welcomed. The team goes above and beyond to make sure every guest feels at home, and they were always there to help with any requests. Our rooms were cozy and decorated with this colonial rustic charm but still has all the modern conveniences you need. We stayed in the Farm House made of up 4 self contained rooms, and waking up to the sounds of birds and the sight of lush greenery outside my window was incredibly peaceful. The food is freshly prepared and includes local dishes bursting with flavor. River Trees Country Inn was exactly what we needed to relax and recharge before our Tanzanian adventures, this place offers a beautiful, authentic experience that we'll always remember.
