Arcaden Apartment

Right after checkin at 5 PM we used the electric kettle but it caused electricity cutoff. We immediately informed the owner because we did not have power to charge our phones and the bathroom was in a total dark, no hot water for shower. It took more than 1 hr to go back and forth with the owner until he said he would send a staff to fix the issue but refused to provide a new kettle and said we should use a pot to boil water and that we should not expect a hotel-like service. We therefore decided to checkout at 6.45 PM after informing him of our decision. The room remained untouched. Customer service informed us that the owner refused to refund the payment. We therefore reported the issue to the disputed center

The small apartment was clean and just a short walk from the Bahnhof and the Arcaden mall which had eateries and a grocery store and a connection to the HBF. The tiny kitchen was perfect for our needs. The bed was very comfy and my partner loved the pillows. Large windows gave great daylight and air flow. The neighborhood felt safe.

The 123 steps up to the apartment were a challenge. The street below was quite noisy all night with sirens and such, but we were too warm to close the windows. A small fan would have helped that. The bathtub design was treacherously high with no grab bar to climb in. Beware! Also the demand water heater took up much of the space inside the bathtub and the hand held shower leaked. The stain on the ceiling makes a nice place look shabby. note- we were given a Wi-Fi password that did not work, but the password on the WIFI box did work. Only one roll of toilet paper was provided for a 3 day stay.

the location is fine

the bed was broken and uncomfy, the building is very loud; there is immediate parking space, only in the shopping center; there was water damage in bathroom and kitchen and loud fans and dehydration machines, which we only got notified about when we could not cancell free of charge anymore, even though the water damage already happened weeks earlier according to other reviews we read then (a discount would have been the least, but none was offered).

Bathroom too small, sofabed non clean and not confortable

Gute Erreichbarkeit!neues Bad, Tapete ist erneuerbar… Putz kommt runter. Ansonsten toll ausgestattete Küche. Manko Parkplätze so gut wie keine Möglichkeit nicht kostenpflichtig in der Woche einen zu ergattern
