Greenlane Motor Inn

This property is absolutely in need of being shut down. Check out some of my photos. The so called Delux room had new kitchen unit half fitted. And some new tiles in the bathroom. Then...the crockery consisted of one breakfast bowl and one fork and several plastic teaspoons and two knives. The cooking pot and pan were so rusty and old you would not cook in them. The kitchen was filthy. As was the bathroom(see photos) and the mould on the walls in the lounge beside the bed was absolutely so unhealthy. No smoke alarms either. No evacuation plan with assembly point. No phone in room to contact the office. Curtains half hanging up. Net curtains mouldy as. The chairs and side tables all old and scratched and stained. The property is overgrown with weeds and old furniture lying all around the property. I can not believe this property is allowed to operate. The owners refused a discount when I brought to their attention the filth. She phoned someone up and started laughing and then said to me sorry no discount. Be warned this is the filthiest place ever.

Dated rooms although big size, gardens overgrown, reception staff ok but wifi seems not to work 11pm to 6am and no one can be contacted about it. Maybe its turned off during these hours. If I returned to the region would probably try somewhere else.

My wife and I decided to go to auckland for a week end, as I had some travel vouchers to use on the airlines. I checked out Expedia.com for hotels in the auckland CBD and suburban that had parking and many CBD hotels didn't ,my budget was $100 per night.then I looked for location the the city for where I wanted to visit and other 4 / 5 star hotels like novatel,ibis where booking fast so greenlane motor inn came as close to Accor hotels as possible,although the photos did not do it justice once we checked in.It was very average considering it been there for about 30 yrs a serious makeover needed.
