"A good location in easy reach of waterfalls and paos volcano but disappointing attention to detail."

Beautiful view over the valley. Birds plentiful in the garden.

The room was dark and we had a cold shower. Poor breakfast options.

"Great frog tour, great breakfast"

Amazing garden with lots of frogs, breakfast was delicious. The hotel manager was excellent, very knowledgeable about the frogs in the garden. When we woke up early, he told us a great location to see the volcano uncovered before breakfast.

"Lovely stay if you want to learn how real Costa Ricans live in the country. Not for those looking for comfort."

Very friendly small family farm. Lots of character to the place and the way it is decorated. The cabins were quaint, old style wood, made us feel as if we were pioneers. A deck off the cabin had a nice view over the valley. Owner gave us lots of information about the place. The main lodge was lovely - old pioneer style.

The cabin was rickety over hanging a hill with minimal supports and floors very sloped. Some ants and a mouse was heard in the walls. The bed mattress was not comfortable. No coffee in the room but was available in the lodge kitchen.

"Exceptional"

This is really a magical place! Very well maintained, lovely swimming pool with spring water, stunning views, yummy breakfast and excellent service. It's family owned and they really take good care of you. We loved this place and we highly recommend it. And it's off touristy paths!

"A great stay in a lodge with lots of wildlife around."

Loved being in an eco lodge with gorgeous countryside around. Jorge and his family made us feel so welcome. The breakfast on the terrace was fantastic.

"Lodge with beautiful view and garden"

Large room with large comfortable bed. Traditional Costa Rican breakfast is delicious. Equipment is very basic and rustic style. Nice swimming pool.

"A rewarding experience away from the tourist trail"

A fantastic property away from the tourist trail. The sleeping accommodations are simple but functional. The main living building is so very comfortable with very cool sitting areas, games, and exceptional views. The family also owns a restaurant with the best smoked meats I ever had in my life.

The pool is cold.
