We had a lovely stay and felt welcome from the moment we arrived. The staff were warm, friendly, and attentive, making our stay comfortable and enjoyable throughout. The breakfast was fresh, delicious, and offered a great start to the day. Our room was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained, providing a relaxing space to unwind after a day of exploring. Overall, a wonderful experience with excellent hospitality, and we would happily stay here again.

Great breakfast and wonderful staff

A small microwave oven in the bedroom is esrntial.. We like warm milk in our coffee and perhaps warm up a little snack bought on our way back to the Villa. Also no plate for our snacks to enjoy at the balcony table.

The guesthouse itself is simple but generally okay in terms of facilities. The room and the breakfast were quite decent, and for a short stay it could have been fine. We had a room with a seaview but the location of the guesthouse is less close to the beach than the photos/description suggested.

The main reason for this negative review is an unresolved incident involving missing cash from my wallet. After check-in, my backpack with my wallet inside was left in our room while we went out for dinner. The next morning after breakfast, I noticed that my backpack had been partly opened, and the inner pouch where I keep my wallet was also partly open — something I would not normally leave like that. When I checked my wallet, I found that €40 was missing. I reported this to the staff immediately and they called the manager after some time and handed me the phone. At first, she offered that we could go to the police and said she could come along. A few hours later, however, she wrote that she was not actually in Hermanus and could not come that day. After that, I did not receive any further update until I requested for it. The next morning, which was also our check-out day, she said that she would have the CCTV footage checked by the security company and would get back to us afterwards. We exchanged phone numbers, but unfortunately I never received any follow-up, neither by phone, messenger or Booking.com website. I cannot say with certainty when or how the money went missing. However, the situation was very concerning, especially because the backpack and wallet pouch appeared to have been opened, and because the promised follow-up did not happen. The manager did offer that we could stay one more night for free, but during the night there was a severe storm, and we slept very badly because it sounded as if the roof might come off. The guesthouse also lost electricity as we were about to leave. Overall, while the guesthouse may be acceptable in terms of basic facilities, the unresolved incident and lack of communication afterwards left us with a very negative impression.

Quiet place, nice and clean room. Breakfast was amazing with plenty of fruits.The m’en at the the reception was very welcoming and very pleasant.
