Queens Rooms

This old girl (built in the 1800’s) is currently being renovated by the owner. We stayed on the second floor and our room was lovely. The ensuite was small but serviced your needs they have full sized products for you to used. Shower had excellent pressure and consistent temperature. The bed was a little soft for my liking but still comfortable. It was clean and tidy and there was a jug with various hot drink options including long like milk. In the hallway there was a sideboard that you could help yourself to additional supplies if you ran out of coffee and teas and toilet paper was a great thoughtful option. The train station is your neighbour and there is a large tescos a few hundred metres away. Oh I forgot to mention there is crockery and cutlery in the bedroom for you another thoughtful touch. Definitely worth your time to stay there.

Very comfortable beds and plenty of tea / coffee making facilities.

The shower was very prone to leaking.

bed was comfy and carpet felt cleaner than other places I've stayed at low price points. definitely been in worse accommodations before. location is 30 seconds from the train station and several bus stops which made getting around super easy. staff were helpful and kind though the smell of kitty litter is quite pronounced in the lobby.

found a dead bat in the room as soon as we arrived. was right by the bed so was shocking no one noticed but possible the animal arrived after the room was cleaned and checked over. staff were immediate to respond and moved the carcass but no compensation was offered at all which was disappointing given the severity of the incident.
